laggy? dunno what phone you got, but my x was blazing all day and has amazing battery life. my camera worked really well, especially after i switched it to 8 MP. i will admit, moto's UI isn't great, but it didn't ruin the experience i've had so far. definitely not returning mine. great job moto and verizon :D
Incredible vs. X
Ok, I have an Incredible which I just got a week ago. I have no complaints with the phone at all. However, I did pre-order an X with best buy because, well, I'm a tech addict. HTC Sense is kind of hard to give up. I have a little more than a day to decide. Anyone else in the same position? Should I keep my Incredible? Thanks for your input :)

I pre-ordered the droid x because it made me drool :-)... Plus I've never been a fan of samsung phones (at least not their smart phones). The super AMOLED screen looks nice, but it doesn't seem like the fascinate has much more going for it.

agreed. i watched several youtube videos on this issue last night and canceled my pre-order from best buy. glad i did it. apple is showing its arrogance by simply telling us how to hold the phone properly instead of offering a real solution. this is a major design oversight (steve jobs called it "brilliant engineering" at the wwdc). when i'm on a call, i shouldn't have to be hyper-conscious of where my fingers are in case the signal strength ...

What's an i-Trashcan? Certainly not your lame attempt at giving the iphone an insulting nickname. By the way, we're all sheep, simply bleating a different sound depending on what carrier we're with. If you think about it, each of the carriers have herded us into different flocks. You're not any less sheepish than the next person, though you may have been brainwashed into thinking so.

And if he's in good standing, then he can get the discounted price. A friend of mine also has the old iphone but he's not in good standing with AT&T and will have to shell out either 399 or 499. That sucks. So make sure your friend knows that ahead of time.

Seeing how you can't surf and talk at the same time on EDGE with the old iphone, I'm guessing the same will be true with the new one. EDGE just isn't that fast. With 3G and Wifi you'll be able to do that without problems.

It's where all of your voice mail messages are shown on your phone screen in the order in which they were received. The nice thing is that you can listen to them in any order you choose. You can pause, rewind, or fast forward a message as you're listening to it. No more having to listen stupid messages first before getting to an important one. Totally great feature :D

If you live near an apple store, you're golden. They'll open at 8 AM and will have hundreds of iphones available. No need to wake up super early. Just stroll in when you feel like it. I got my iphone last year at my apple store at 6 PM on opening day. Didn't break a sweat. All of the corporate AT&T stores were sold out since the morning, too.

Check out this link from CNET. Three guys were chosen by Apple to review the new iphone (Walt Mossberg, David Pogue, and Edward Baig). They seem pleased overall, although old man Mossberg is dishing out some haterade on the phone's battery life. Psh, what does he know?

Just talked to a store rep, and he said that the FAN discount applies to the total bill before taxes (including data and text). For example, I plan on getting the 900 national minute plan (59.99) + 30 for unlimited data + 20 for unlimited text.
59.99 + 30 + 20 = 109.99 before taxes.
My FAN discount affords me 24% off, so...
109.99 x 0.24 = 26.4
109.99 - 26.4 = 83.59 per month before taxes (approx. 90-92 dollars after taxes).

Some iphone 3G advice
There seems to be more people on the fence about the new iphone than those on either extreme about getting it or not getting it. In summary, yes, 30 dollars for unlimited data and no messages seems unfair, considering the old iphone plan gives you that and 1500 messages a month for the same price. To add insult to injury, the discounted price comes with strings attached (must be a brand new customer, current customer on an existing iphone ...
