Come on.......AT&T is letting an awful lot ride on the success of the Iphone. You people are getting buried by new phone releases from other carriers. Say what you will, but, customers like new technology.....and variety. More variety equals more customers ! 😎

AT&T has more phone selections than it ever has before which will continue to grow before the back to school promotions, and it will even be more than just color variations.

The new Blackberry Bold is supposed to be out late 3rd or 4th quarter. It should create some excitement also.

ATT needs to start releasing some high end phones. I would love a good deal from ATT for a great phone, not what they have now. I think they should take out a few eggs from the Iphone basket and keep trying or try again on the n95 or even see whats going on with the SE c905 or anything similar would be good.

I hate the iphone, personally. I'm holding out until the release of the Bold.

At least then I can change my own battery.

I think the phone is OK but I would never actually own one. I am really feature bound. The phone can look ugly but if it can do everything i will own it. I personally think that the Iphone is just fashionable right now but has no real features compared to good phones that our out and that are coming out. IE SE c905, I can't wait.

I carry an 8820, and I work at AT&T. We just feel that it's a bunch of old technology in a shiny new package.

Now, MAYBE if it had the hipatic touch, like the Vu, I might give it HALF a shot, but it doesn't have the emailing capabilities that BlackBerry does. And I couldn't imagine replying to my emails with a touch screen. I also really hate the fact that when the battery goes bad, you've got to ship your precious off to be repaired...for a fee. What is it? Like $175? Forget that. Hardwiring was a bad idea, point blank.

Apple is just a novelty. But boy, can they market!

O yeah! its quit old tech but I think apple does that on purposes.I personally do not like the brand to much because of the way the market their products which are not that great. I mean the ipod was marketed the same way and is very expensive and limited to what you can do. When the ipod came out you could get an mp3 player by creative for half the price with the same memory more supported formats, built in radio wider screen, etc. You know what I mean?

I know EXACTLY what you mean. LOL. Join in my fight on the iphone forums, if you're bored. My colleague and I are sitting at work laughing about the heated discussion.

Someone actually had the nerve to say that I didn't know what I was talking about because I'm a female. Ah! Love it!

WOW, I do not actually know anybody that thinks the way I do about this. Everyone i know talks about the Iphone-best phone ever! but cannot explain why, I wonder why? Right now I am using a SE K850 and my mp3 player, i have 2 a small sony 8gb and the creative zen w which is great for movies and both together were less than the ipod video.

I beg to differ. I know exactly what I'm talking about. I just refuse to jump on the iphone bandwagon when, in reality, it's not the best phone we carry.

Is it cool? Absolutely.

But what do you do when your iphone freezes? Or when you're travelling abroad and it hits the internet every 5 minutes?

have you used the vu? the touchscreen is horid compared to the iPhone. i work for at&t as well and sell both, and the vu is no where near the same catagory of quality as the iphone. i don't own either phone but i play with them both all the time and thought about buying the vu and after a week of demoing it, it is unbearale.

My manager here has the Vu, and I don't have any problem texting on it or anything. I love the hipatic touch feature (I'm sure I'm spelling that wrong). One of our other managers has the iphone, so I've played with it a great deal as well. I can't text to save my life on the iphone. I guess maybe I'm just an iphone hater. Although, I personally would never get a touchscreen for several reasons.

I'll be the first to admit that there are different phones for different people, and it's all a matter of how you're going to use your device, but I just can't stand behind the iphone.

i can't stand using the vu. i can't use it to save my life. the touch on the iphone is great for zooming in and out and you don't have to put it in landscape mode, just turn it.

I do think the Iphone's touch response is revolutionary. I have not used the vu yet but to i think the best thing to do would be to incorporate the iphone touchscreen technology with a keyboard and good features. something like mixing the touchscreen of the iphone with a good nokia phone and software. That would be good. the iphone along just isn't a draw for me. No real features just fahion, that is standard apple and not worth it for me, but worth it for some.

i think it's more of how they put everything together. safari is the best on any phone, even symbian browswers, opera and skyfire. it doesn't have gps, but google maps is very intuitive and fast. i do agree with the comments about the keyboard, but they did change the game up with the design and ease of use. again, i don't have one, but i like the idea. i have yet to use another touch screen that is as responsive as the iphone. i do think they should have made landscape mode availible when texting so it would be easier, but i can't change that.

The N95 is dead because nokia wouldn't remove access to Nokia Maps. I guess it was a deal breaker because of AT&T Navigator.

NOooooooo. Leave the N95 alone. It works great without the ATT Logo and can be bought for a pretty good discount anyway. Let the high end phones be the domain of the unlocked unbranded world where they belong. ATT can deliver the subsidized toys like the iPhone and the great business PDAS. Leave the high end non QWERTY phones off the plans......

I have a both the N95-3 and N95-4...

I was being serious here !!!!! A little more tech to go with a great 3G network...and there are phones that don't cost $500.00 that will do it. HTC Diamond should be AT&T, Samsung OMNIA would also be a good choice in the near future.
