At the company I am currently with we are required to get them to sign a checklist proving that we told them if they don't purchase insurance the only thing we cover is Manufacture Defects w/i the 1st year of purchase.

As much as I love the should or shouldn't it battle Plookikins fuels here oh so often... I'm skipping most of this post to tell you... Verizon doesn't charge an activation fee if you do it yourself online... So :P You do it yourself you don't pay for it, You have a problem and call one of us, you DO pay for it.

I'm an indirect in MN... I have one gray one left in any of my stores and I have silver and pink in all of them... we don't discriminate... If you want something that the corp stores don't have... go to the store that does have them. :roll:

Nokia currently has a higher end VzW phone... the 6256i. You can't get it off the verizon website but my store sells it. It's a flip w/ a .3 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, Memory card spot, FM Radio... Just no VCast. It is also the only phone to date that Verizon has allowed open bluetooth transfer on... Not to mention it's a Nokia Nokia... None of this Pantech Nokia crap. I don't know why no one else sells this phone... it ...

I've tried everything, we don't have to, there is no need, we #1 cust service, #1 coverage, #1 consumer reports rated phones... Still have cust b!tching... That's really important to me, I really use that a lot, I usually wait until 7 to make calls... ERG! Get a higher rate plan, realize that all your friends have Verizon so those calls are free ALL OF THE TIME. I just don't' understand why no one listens.

I had a cust want to activate a prepay plan on his one phone.. I love Customers Own Equipment sales, less work and more commission! Cust tells me he bought the phone (PN215) at an Unclaimed Freight store... never heard of it, figured it was lost or stolen but I try anyway. ESN is locked so I call CS and the rep thought the same as me but he talks to tech and it's not lost or stolen or on ...

Ok, thanks. Usually when someone posts the Churn rates in here they have the other carriers too. I'm sure I could call my VzW Rep and he'd know but it's not that important to me. As long as we are the lowest that is all I need to tell customers.

Unfortunately the VzW plan decider guys do not read this forum (to my knowledge) try writing to Verizon directly... I doubt threatening to take your account and leave is what will sway them but I bet suggestions are appreciated. Nice ones.

If you're looking for super durable (bulletproof) I'd go with the Samsung A630. It doesn't have an external caller ID but it's the phone I sell to construction workers and known butterfingers. This phone takes a beating. It does not have a camera but you said you didn't care about that. It does have a phone book and speaker phone. It's a nice little phone and I get few complaints about it. At my store it ranges from free ...

Wow. Sure I'm glad on this side of our company - My carrier has never done anything remotely like that to any of us... I'm sure they have had stupid reps do stupid things but about 97% of the CS personnel I talk to is SUPER helpful - and when they hear I'm staying passed close they are even a bit faster and more apologetic.

Dang it. Summer here is from sometime in June until sometime in September. The rest is winter. It is either 80+ w/ 100% humidity or below 50 (in the ACTUAL winter months it's below 32)

Lol, I'm in MN... we have a city here called Little Canada. I've been to OK - you're right no reason for sweaters, I was there in October... 8) Maybe if everyone in the south points their fans to the north we could get some of your heat... That may just be crazy enough to work. :wink:

My b/f had an echo when using his headset. I was told it was because the phone volume was at 7... if you can't get your phone 'flashed' try turning it down the 815 is pretty loud. I haven't heard of any voice recognition problems with this phone... make sure you're saying the right things I guess. I know it sounds dumb but computers are dumb.

I don't COMPLETELY understand what you're wanting to do here. If you go into any corp or indirect store they can process what is called an ESN change for you. that is where we just assign a different phone to your number - no plans need to be canceled. HOWEVER, the plan that currently has the V on it (since that is the one that we'll be assigning to your number) will have to either be put on hold ...

ahhh... The only thing would be show them your personal phone (if it's on your carrier) and show them what they have on their own cell (assuming they have one). They should see a difference. I don't know of a way to switch towers w/ our phones here... Sorry.

Why would you want to show them a different companies signal if it is better? If you're roaming before the PRL Update you're probably on a different tower. I don't know the super techno stuff about when a phone arrives and after activation and such. but I do know showing a customer the signal in the store may be harmful to your sales if your isn't the best in the store but is better somewhere else... Does that make ...

I had one poor customer who bought a Razr off ebay ( :roll: ) for over $200.00 brought it to me to activate on his current account. I did the ESN change and phone book transfer and everything. Sold him a bunch of accessories... the phone just wouldn't receive a call. Finally I call CS and ask them if they need to fix something in the switch or something. I can't remember which carrier this was - mostly cuz I'm crabby but there is one - not Moto - that is changing it's charging port. You will be able to use the new one in the old phones but not the old on in the new phones.

The cable is all the equipment needed to do a phone book transfer. However. The machine needs the software for each individual phone.
