both att/cingular and tmobile have a $59.99 family plan for non power users. i have a 3 phone $69.99 family plan with verizon and we use about 300 minutes per month. i would be better off on a $59.99 plan with 500/550 minutes. why did verizon kill the $59.99 plan. my contract is up in 1 year. if verizon doesn't bring back the $59.99 plan then i will strongly reconsider moving to ATT/cingular. they have better service in my area (riverdale ny 10471) which would be a big plus.

verizon please bring back the $59.99 family plan

Unfortunately the VzW plan decider guys do not read this forum (to my knowledge) try writing to Verizon directly... I doubt threatening to take your account and leave is what will sway them but I bet suggestions are appreciated. Nice ones.

cingular dropped their 59.99 plan in the midwest market. ☹️ sprint does have a 59.99 plan though.

thats not an option for everyone, and if you get a local only landline, its really cheap, and very nice to have sometimes.

I wish that what you wrote was actually true on a broader scale beyond a few power users like myself and Phonescoop/Phonearena/HoFo posters.

As long as Verizon's churn is still less than 1.5% they are not going to do anything that could affect their bottom line.

And the network is also a large part of it as well. I live in Phoenix and I tried Cingular for 3 weeks, going through 2 phones in the process. I'm sorry for Cingular but their network ...

My mother should be on a local plan since she rarely travels outside of Lake County Indiana. Too bad that was eliminated too. She could have more anytime minutes if she had local. I, like many others on this board would like nights starting at 7pm, even if it costs extra. But I won't see that happening when I renew in July or August, depending on when I use my NE2.
