Just Bought the Samsung A-930 NEED HELP!!!
Hey guys, this is the first time i've been to this website and its awesome. This forum is really great and it definitely helped in my decision to buy this phone. I really like the phone so far, i've only had it for about a 1/2 day. But anyway, my question is about Bluetooth. I had the motorola razr from verizon (crap) and I was wondering if i was able to send my contacts from my razr to my new a930. I am not sure if i can even do this but when i try to connect to the razr using bluetooth i'm not able to, but it does recognize the device. If anyone has any help that would be great. Thanks

you cant do it, you can take thep hones to a vzw store and get it transfered for 15$ or you can do it manually for free.

if you had access to the data cables for each phone you could download bitpim off the internet and transfer them yourself..but then again you would have to have both data cables

Reactivate the Razr and use the GIN app.. It's awesome, once your names are there whatever phone you have gets the new names.

does the a930 use a diff charging port...I thought that was all they needed to do a number transfer?

I'm curious on that too, not for number switch-over, but to use my car charger I already have for my 950.

I can't remember which carrier this was - mostly cuz I'm crabby but there is one - not Moto - that is changing it's charging port. You will be able to use the new one in the old phones but not the old on in the new phones.

I wish the government would just mandate that all small electronics have to use mini usb. It would make things so much easier....we dont need 7 or 8 different charging ports, its ridiculous.

The cable is all the equipment needed to do a phone book transfer. However. The machine needs the software for each individual phone.
