Re: Please HELP! I need out of my contract

You signed up before the November 15th date, so your ETF should be $175. November 15th and beyond the ETF for smartphones is $350. If you dont care if you keep your number, you could start a new line with the droid at the $200 price, shut your other line down and pay the ETF. Then your total would be $375. After you do that, you can keep your tour for a back up, or sell it on ...

get the curve or tour. you will get used to the buttons. they appear small, but you adjust. I did. I am using the storm now, and love that, but you dont like touch screens so that rules the storm out. I am waiting for the storm 2 to come out.

Also try this, goto crackberry.com. Look for a app called quickpull, its free. You can set it up to do a daily battery pull automatically. I have ours set up to do it in the morning when we wake up, set it to do it 10 minutes before you wake up, and the phone will be on and waiting for you when you get up with the memory reset. But the above is for our storms. ...

Verizon and qwest......a dissaster waiting to happen
Oct 24, 2008, 7:31 AM
in the Qwest Wireless forum

I would keep your verizon bill as far away from qwest as possible. I predict verizon will have to clean up a lot of qwest nightmare cs issues. Dealing with qwest cs is a nightmare. Hopefully this is a step in the direction of verizon taking qwest over. If this happens, verizon (or buying company) needs to fire all qwest call center employees and start from scratch. qwest is a example of how unions can make ...

Re: J.D. Powers Report (P.S.)
Oct 24, 2008, 7:20 AM
in the Qwest Wireless forum

qwest's customers service has not improved over the years. If their customer service is better today then before, then I would have hated to see it back in the days. I like what I get from qwest in product, but when I have to call in, I wander why I am using qwest. They are the worse customer service over the phone I have ever dealt with. do everything you can do at qwest online. Avoid calling the 800 ...

Re: A Question about City ID
Sep 17, 2008, 9:33 AM
in the LG Voyager VX-10000 forum

I cant imagine anyone paying for city ID. I am guessing verizon will figure this out and just offer it with visual voicemail. Between apple and verizon, I do not know which company is more greedy. I imagine that is why apple Iphone and verizon never got together, two greedy companies trying to work together is not an easy task.

and if I remember right, there is a small sticker like that inside the phone also, which you can not see. Dont take the phone apart to look for it, if you do, you will void any warranty. As said before, do not say anything about you think it could be water damaged, or you left it outside, let them find that out on their own, as if the stickers did not change, you will be fine, unless there ...

Re: VZW to start offering Month to Month contracts.
Sep 17, 2008, 7:42 AM
in the Verizon forum

You are correct to a point on this, if you pay full retail for a phone at verizon, you can do a contract and pay the ETF later and still be cheaper. The benefit to this no contract thing is if you bring your own equipment to the table. There are other sources to getting phones, friends have one laying around, and of course there is ebay, craigs list, which has some risk to it, but in most cases ...

I would think going to the loyality plan would be considered a plan change which then would force them to the nationwide plan.

If he was within his 30 days, why would he not be able to revert to his old plan if he returns everything. Am I not understanding the worry free gurantee? If I were the OP, I would call and see what you can do.

Re: America's Choice or Nationwide plan?
Jun 23, 2008, 10:47 AM

lets not forget on americas choice plans, you do use minutes for data, such as get it now, but most users did a lot of that stuff on night and weekend minutes, which equals free. And yes, you get to use data on extended network, which is nice. But after the alltel buyout, that will not be a benefit anymore, or not near as big of a benefit. It boils down to how you use your phone. If you ...

Re: Dear Customer: THIS JUST IN THE PHONES DO NOT WORK EVERYWHERE
May 22, 2008, 9:06 AM
in the Verizon forum

well, after reading several posts by verizon reps, I don't think it would do any good to pass it on to superiors of verizon corporate. It appears that verizon corporate and reps feel that their customers are retards, or idiots. I will keep that in mind when it comes to renewing.

I see your point, but I still think it will bring new customers to verizon. There are a lot of people that like the one bill deal. It is not going to be a huge thing for verizon, but it helps.

last I read, Q was not losing money anymore. Helps when they cleaned house in the accounting department. But any company can start losing money, and a lot more are going to start in the coming months due to high fuel costs, people losing their jobs, ect..the future for our counties economy is looking pretty bad. But, that is another subject. This is good for both companies, maybe qwest needs it more, so what, it will bring ...

Re: Verizon awesome coverage

correct, just some people confuse the extended network as being verizon's native coverage. Without the extended network, verizon would have pretty spotty coverage.

Re: Verizon awesome coverage

You should be paying attention to your driving, not looking at the phone all the time to see if it has a full signal. LOL Good thing for extended network on your travels thru the midwest, otherwise our verizon phones would be paper weights in a lot of areas.

Re: A little irritated...
May 12, 2008, 11:40 AM

Just thought I would point out that verizon does not roam off of alltel as much anymore. I know in the midwest, USCC is the main carrier we roam on now. Verizon has been changing the prl's to prefer other carriers over alltel for some reason, something to do with sprint, not sure.

who cares who needs it, it is being offered. There are a lot of qwest land line customers that now will be able to bundle their verizon bill with the landline and save a little money every month.

Re: will this void my insurance with verizon?
May 6, 2008, 10:23 AM

I would agree with you on that. I would say I lost the phone before saying it was stolen. If you lost the phone, you lost it, it is covered, and you cant send them a item you do not have. So, I think I would do it if you are not concerned with the manufacture warranty.

since I have EVDO turned off on my phone, I do not join you for the excitement.

I am curious on that also. I am pretty sure it will void the manufacture warranty as the phone is being taken apart. Not sure on the insurance though.

I dont know if you can force it to roam or not, but I do know US Cellular has a 50% rule. So that could change your mind to force it to roam.

I have the venus and I did not have to switch to the nationwide plan, still on the ACII. I was looking at the voyager, then the rep said I would have to go with the nationwide plan, so I went with the venus instead. I think most customers will go to the nationwide plan in the future because verizon will come out with some plan that everyone will want and will require moving to the nationwide. I ...

they said they are on the newer plan, nationwide just above your post. I hope you are within your 30 days, because you do not have to switch plans to get a new phone under contract. you were misinformed by whoever told you that. Unless you got the voyager, the voyager requires you to be on the nationwide plan. If you are within your 30 days, call and have your plan put back on the ACII plan you ...

Look, we are way off topic on this. The last thing I will say on this, since we could go on forever back and forth is on the deal you said the following.. Secondly, you can't get cell phone service (at least in your name) if you don't have proper and complete identification. I think you can. If there is a way, they, or I should say anybody can get it. Most likely prepaid would be the way ...

Lets be honest here. helping the immigrant population is one thing, but we know most of the spanish translations is for illegals. And it is costing taxpayers money for this. In cellular industry, money is being spent on spanish billboards, ect, when it could be spent on improving the quality of the carrier, or lowering the price of plans, ect..that is why people are getting mad about it...it is costing money to the taxpayers. If english was ...
