Verizon Blitz
I have done a little searching in the forum and can't find anything about the new Verizon Blitz made by Ultracom. I saw it at a verizon kiosk in the mall and i was looking for a phone with a QWERTY keyboard and it looked interesting.
I guess the cons are that the phone looks a little plasticy. and the screen quality didn't look great i was wondering what you guys thought.

Blitz is what I would call a low to mid-ranged device aimed at the youth market / QWERTY keyboard user.
I'd say the majority of texters prefer the 12-key format (standard phone pad) over the QWERTY keyboard, however the QWERTY crowd has been getting bigger (the latest speed texter a couple months back won 1dt place with an enV w/ QWERTY keyboard).
Just as Verizon was looking to tap into the youth market with a music device (the Samsung Juke), they are now looking at the youth market who would use a Sidekick for messaging, with the UTStarcom (Audiovox) Blitz. Both are stripped-down devices (less high-end features and services) aimed at specific parts of a niche market.

I dont think the blitz has EV-DO either.

I do believe it is a VCAST phone which would make it EV-DO

It is NOT V-Cast capable...
It is a 1X handset.

No EVDO, a 1X only device.

its a pos. spend a little more and get the env2 or alias.
