Dear Customer: THIS JUST IN THE PHONES DO NOT WORK EVERYWHERE

You're not going to get reception everywhere. I know, they put out a map and it has coverage right where you live. Guess what, if you phone isn't getting coverage then that area probably doesn't get coverage.

Bitching will not make it work.

Calling up reps and threatening to cancel service will not make it work.

Yelling does not make it work.

Basically you should probably move. Or buy a repeater. Yeah, they're expensive, but at least you'll get good service - it's a one time expense too.

Tough day at work?...people are retarded that's just a part of life! the sooner you accept it the healthier you'll be.

Personally though my verizon phone has never failed me.

You'd think it would be pretty straight forward, however, at least 30% of the cell phone community has a very tough time grasping this issue.

verizon has better coverage than att, just because the op is crying about a few retards doesn't change the fact that verizon has the best overall coverage.

What do you mean by better coverage. I think that statement depends on where one lives. Deos it matter if Verizon has coverage in rural areas most people will never use it? I think not.

"Best overall coverage" means nothing really. I mean GSM has the best coverage worldwide yet my specific coverage area is patchy.

So peole who live in sketchy Verizon coverage should still buy Verizon service becasue VErizon has the best coverage?

wow dude, you just dig and dig to find anything to try and make vzw look like crap dont you?

which ever carrier has better coverage in your area in the one you should go with, even if its sprint or tmo or a regional carrier.

yes VZW has better nationwide coverage than ATT. thats the nation AS A WHOLE. not just your lil area, or the OPs little area. its based off the WHOLE COUNTRY. can you grasp that concept???

also, who cares if GSM has great coverage worldwide. is att worldwide? do you travel worldwide on a daily basis? what i'm gettin at is it doesnt matter in this case. VZW isnt a worldwide company, so who cares who has coverage overseas. its irrelavant.

Here again you go about preaching about AT&T's coverage being the best i have made this argument to you before but obviously you are do hard headed to listen AT&T does not work in Montana (you know that is considered a state) and coverage also sucks in North and South Dakota. I know that you may not think there is enough people living in these states but to the ones that live here coverage is important. Wrong dude. The iphad is a marketing joke. ATT is just a carrier. I have no allegiance to any carrier. I love the native open source technology though. Well woth a couple dropped calls amonth...by far.

Only if they had the equivalent of the N95 AND the UL data was $15 AND I got to use any minutes I payed for and did not use next month...

So I guess the answer is No Verizon for me.

The problem is not the complaints. The problem is the deceptive advertising, including the maps and the more general claims about working for the customer to make sure they have good coverage. If you advertise something and don't live up to it, expect complaints. Don't blame the customer. Pass the complaints on to your 'superiors'.

well, after reading several posts by verizon reps, I don't think it would do any good to pass it on to superiors of verizon corporate. It appears that verizon corporate and reps feel that their customers are retards, or idiots. I will keep that in mind when it comes to renewing.

AvgJoe isn't supporting AT&T. What AvgJoe is supporting is the idea of complete wireless freedom. With CDMA being proprietary, along with the carriers that Qualcomm leases its technology to, it is easier to go to GSM for complete freedom.
