I am curious on that also. I am pretty sure it will void the manufacture warranty as the phone is being taken apart. Not sure on the insurance though.

just put the original case back on if you break it, and if you cant get it on just run over it with a car and send it back to asurian smashed and they will no never know. Plus I think that insurance should cover no matter what anyway

I would agree with you on that. I would say I lost the phone before saying it was stolen.

If you lost the phone, you lost it, it is covered, and you cant send them a item you do not have.

So, I think I would do it if you are not concerned with the manufacture warranty.

That's physical damage and covered under insurance-able. Those are some nice covers though.

If something happens you could always lose your phone....

If you put a modified exhaust on your car, will that void your car insurance?

If you tinted your windows, will that void your car insurance?

If put racing stripes or painted your car a different color, will that void your car insurance?

The answer is no, it will not void your insurance. Per insurance policy, it will cover any type of damage, regardless of what it is. And if a modification happens to DAMAGE your phone ... it's covered because it's still damage.

Warranty, however, is a completely different issue. Warranty basically gauruntees the craftsmanship behind the product. However, you can't gauruntee the craftsmanship if you modified something that the craftsman never intended. So yes, that mod will void your warranty....
