Shame on you (long rant)

So I love selling at&t, sure theres problems sometimes but for the most part I've had good experiances. However a recent situation has made me want to have nothing to do with them.
I had a customer to come and add a line to his account, everything seemed fine. We went over paperwork, accepted contract blah blah. But then I went to invoice him out and a $300 deposit showed up. Nothing had mentioned it before now. So I call it in. Customer Care says let me look. I call Analyst review. they say, system error, he doesnt have to pay, talk to CC. CC rep call back, same info. Tells me no deposit required, it will be taken care of. Customer leaves happy.
Two days later. I get an email demanding to know why I did not get the deposit, I explain. T...

Sprint Unlimited Plan $99 - best out

Ok so the meeting this morning was Sprint announced the 99$ unlimited plan. It includes unlimited voice, text and data. This blows away all other major carriers. Sprints data speeds and offers cannot be touched by anyone and with voice services practically being the same this is an AWESOME plan.

Can I Help You Sir

An older guy, somewhat rough looking saunters up to my desk.

Me- "can I help you, sir?" ๐Ÿ™‚

Old Guy- "no" (keeps walking towards me)

...

OG- (gets to the desk) "how do I set the time on my phone" ๐Ÿ™‚

M- "it sets itself" ๐Ÿ™‚

OG- (gets quizzical look) "It can't be February 29th!" ๐Ÿคจ ๐Ÿ˜•

M- "Yes it is." ๐Ÿ™‚

OG- ... ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ‘€

M- "It's leap year.." ๐Ÿ™‚

OG- "Are you serious?" ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

M- "Yeah, easy way to remember it is that it usually happens every presidential election year." ๐Ÿ™‚

OG- "okay thanks." ๐Ÿคญ (walks away looking at his phone as if it just took him through some space-time vortex)

He was a nice old guy that made my afternoon more tolerable.

verizon online pricing to direct store pricing

Does anyone know what the diffrence is if a customer goes online to verizonwireless.com and they go into a direct store what the price diffrences are? I always thought they are the same but i am told that is not true. I am assuming some are and some are not. How do other indirects set there pricing? Do you charge the same as the web?

Some Parents >.

The two people we just helped, a guy about fifteen, and his mom make me wonder about parents. They were nice enough people. I didn't think anything negative about them until I saw the teen's shirt which said, "Got Weed?"

I don't smoke it, but weed isn't really a big deal to me in the grand scheme of things. There are definitely far worse things that are legal. But, I don't understand a parent that seems to not mind their kid wearing that type of shirt, and most likely paying for it.

"They have me locked out on the System"

Ok so I just help the craziest person I have ever met. This old guy walks up to me and says: "They have me locked out on the system". So I really didn't know what to say to this so I asked him to explain what he meant by that. He just kept saying over and over. So I asked him to see his phone and he wouldn't give it to me and kept saying "They have me locked out on the system" Finally he gives me the phone and I look at it. I see absolutely nothing wrong with the phone. I go into the network setting and hes says "There see all those numbers they are not suppose to be there". I try and inform the customer that those numbers are just the software versions and and he shouldn't worry about that. So pull up his account and he is going on...

Bad News : (

I just found out that my dealership is closing down. โ˜น๏ธ We have two locations. One is a store and the other is a kiosk. They are about 30 miles apart. Monday, I found out that the store was closing. The lease is up at the end of March and our sales suck. They have sucked for a while and declined a lot more when AT&T took over Cellular One. However, our kiosk was going to remain open and with the money we saved from rent, electric and other bills from the store closure, we were eventually going to open a store in place of the kiosk.

However, that is no longer the case. I was just informed by my boss that as of the second week of March, we will be closing all locations. Apparently, AT&T came in yesterday to get him to sign a new AT&T deal...

A question for Sprint NSS reps...

I'll probably end up just calling in, but I figured I'd use this resource too and see if I had any luck.

I have a customer who set up a new line of service a couple months ago, and ever since he set up, the caller id on his phone says the name of the person who used to have the line of service. I've tried "Swap Authorized User" (dunno if that's what it's called in anything but RMS) and it SAYS his name in the system where it's supposed to, I can't find her name anywhere on the account, yet when he calls a landline with caller ID it still says the other customers name.

Has anyone run into this before? Any suggestions? And would it be worth my time to bother calling in? I'm guessing that I'm gonna end up just having to change his numbe...
