I work at a kiosk in a truck stop

This is the first day of the month with no sales at all.

It is so, so, so dead here.

I just had one of the longest yawns ever.

I'm bummed.....

I found out that with the acquisition of the company I work for, that when the new company takes over all of our computers will be unable to get online. We will only be able to get to our activations and pos programs. I'm upset by this! There's so many websites I refer to along the way to gather information, and now I'm going to be blocked from that. ☚ī¸

I shall miss you phonescoop! I will have to occasionally get on at home just to see what all is happening in the crazy world of Shop Talk.

I will still be around for a couple more weeks, but definately as of April 1, my random postings from work will be done. đŸ˜ĸ

No, I cannot waive your security deposit.

There's a reason it's charged in the first place. Because you do not know how to pay your bills on time. It's our way of making sure we don't get screwed over by you for not paying to use our service. Yelling at me and saying "Well, I'll take my business over to AT&T then," will not get the deposit waived either. Besides, didn't you just tell me that you're porting IN from AT&T? Now you repeat over and over that I must not want your business then. You're right, we don't, because you obviously are retarded. Now you tell me that the reason you need to pay a security deposit is because T-Mobile over-charged you for overages that you never did and wrote it off, and then AT&T did the same thing, so it's not your fault. Please, please, please leav...

"Incompetent "

I just had a customer called and I swear he was so confused... Hell he even tried to confuse me too. Anyway he called and wanted to get his wife an new phone for his phone number. I am thinking that he wants to do an handset upgrade. The customer wanted to keep the phone he has now and just purchase new phone and use it under the same phone number. Advised cust. that would not be able to use two phones under the same phone number. Customer then stated that I was incompetent because he could use two phones under the same number. He then stated that he would like to speak with my sup. because I was giving him the run around. Placed on hold to get sup. checking in with customer, he then stated that he will just shop around. I advised him that h...

"I Lost My Phone."

R = Me
C = Customer
CS = Customer's son

R - Hello. How can I help you?

C - My son lost his cell phone. Can we just buy a new one?

R - Yes, ma'am. However, you'd have to pay full price.

C - Okay. Well, what is full price?

R - The phones start at $190.

C - $190! But I got mine for $22!

R - Yes, ma'am. But that was with a contract.

C - Why do we need a new contract? We have one.

R - When you sign a contract, you get a discount on a phone. However, you can only resign every 18 months.

C - Can we buy a phone at Walmart?

R - Yes, ma'am. Anywhere you buy it, it will be full price though.

C - Well, that's not fair. Isn't there a customer...Maybe it would help to call customer service.

CS - Customer service co...

Dont hurry me!

The one thing that agitates me more than just about anything is when a customr calls in and 'hurrys' me up. You know? You called /me/. I didn't call YOU. So dont be a rude Q#)*#() and try and hurry me thru the call. you dont have time, dont call. đŸ‘ŋ

Send out the Sprint Ninja's! 😈

And so goes on the stupid list...

So the customr calls in, their 248 mins over their minutes. (I work for Sprint) I offer to buy additional minutes for 5$ per 100, to take care of the overage and for the rest of her cycle. She acts like i'm trying to be sinister and sell her something just to geet more money. First off lady, I dont get commission off anything I do to your service..

I ask her again, are you sure? you can pay 15$ or .40 cents a minute for 248 mins (99$). No. Then she tells me to hold on and then hangs up. Jeez. I'm trying to help you lady, b ut ifyou wanna pay .40 cents a minute for the next 2 weeks and spend 500$ for overage, pls, be my guest and enjoy your attitude superiority. 😎

Coincidense? I don't think so.

So I have now had 6 customers come into my store today, all with the same problem. there phone shows full coverage but they cannot make or receive calls, speratically yes, but for the most part not. I tried taking battery out, putting it back in. I tried giving them a new SIM card. Nothing worked.
The phones were different types, 3 syncs, 1 v3xx, 1 Duo, 1 cu500. the only simularity I could think of is that they are all 3G. My phone, blackberry (not 3G) has worked fine all day.
What else makes this odd is that our other 3 stores in the area havn't had any customers with these complaints and CC said that there was not network outages.
Anyone have any ideas? I don't know if the 3G would effect it or not it was just the only thing I could t...

Sometimes customers make me wonder...

What kind of crack their on, and where can I get some? Because it must be good. I hear crazy things all day.

"I lost my phone. Can you send me a new one?"
Sure, that's just how it works. Just like in real life. "Oh, I lost my daughter. Can you send me a new one?"

There are points when you can't even think of a response. You have to just mute them, sigh, and shake your head. People should have to take tests to be able to own cellphones. I swear.

"I'm sorry sir/ma'am, but it looks like you do not currently have any insurance on your phone."
"Oh. Can you add it for me so I can make a claim right now?"
...That, right there is what I call a worthy facepalm moment.

If there's one thing I've learned from working in a call center s...

Any Alltel employees...

hang around in here by any chance? I've never heard anyone say "Hey I work for Alltel!" Lol..

I only have VZW and Alltel in the city I live in... But I wouldn't mind hearing about the benefits in the retail stores for VZW and Alltel..

I'm sure pay depends on the area you live in, correct? Cost of livign and such..

But as far as wireless benefits..? I don't see why that would vary.

THANKS 🙂 🤤

Just leave already!

There's this chick in front of me right now and she's been staring at the Nokia 2610 for like 15 minutes and I keep asking her if she needs any help but she just keeps ignoring me. Why would anyone be so focused on the 2610 anyway?

to all cell phone cus who think they should get something for nothing

why do you think its unfair for us as a company to just GIVE you a cell phone because you lost yours? if you purchase a shirt or from a retail store, you CANNOT walk back into that store and say to a clerk "i feel its very unfair that you wont give me another shirt since i lost the one that i purchased". i would really like for a non-employee to explain the logic in this. i am so sick of dealing with grown arse spoiled cus. đŸ‘ŋ

man i hate retarded customers .

yesterday i had this one customer on the phone and i was telling him how high his bill was due to overages on his mins. im talking like $500 in overages and he was sharing lines with some one else. then the cust. is all telling that the bill isnt right and that he doesnt want to pay for it. then he's trying to get me to credit back all of his overages on his acct. and i'm telling him i cant give him back all of his overages because these were valid charges that he had incurred and i cant credit back all off the overages. i offered to credit back falf of his overages f he were to switch his price plan. he was still wanting me to credit back all of his overages and im telling him the best i can do is half. then he's all asking me why didnt we ...
