I just got commended

by one of those "bruiser" PDA business customers. I know you've all had those before. The kind of guys who hassle you about deals for important business customers and spit questions out faster than you can process them.

So anyways, I thought right away "oh great" when I could tell he was that kind of customer. But I held it together and kept my perkiness in tact.

I answered every single question he threw at me with a detailed explanantion (those customers like in depth answers) plus I knew what discount he would get with the company he works for off the top of my head (I've had a customer recently with that discount.)

At the end of it all he says to me "Just let me say, you are truly a representative to be reckoned with. All the o...

Use Your Common Sense

My store is closing tomorrow. Monday, the landlord put a FOR RENT sign in the window. All this week, customer after customer has asked me the same question:

Are you guys closing?

No, we're just renting out the corner of the store. DUH!

AT&T, here I come!

I just got picked up by AT&T corporate, so I'll be leaving this 3rd party sh*thole. Any words of advice? Is the commission good there? Did I make the right decision?!

Clueless customers

I find it a bit annoying when a customer comes looking for a phone they don't have the slightest knowledge about, besides seeing a 30 second spot on TV. I had to deal with a load of people wanting to see the iPhone; this months prior to it's launch. Or, people wanting to see the Chocolate. You see, we are AT&T, so had they paid attention to the commercial, they would have gone to the right spot. Or, people who want a blueberry or raspberry, not having the slightest hint to what a Blackberry is.

Anyway, need to get off the soapbox and do some laundry.

Why is my bill so high?

So... my store closes at 5h30, I just finished closing and I'm about to leave when the phone rings (of course I just HAD to pick up..)

C= Cust
M= Me..

M= Thank you for calling .... my name is Dave how may I help you
C= I need to speak to the manager
M= I'm afraid he left earlier... we were about to close, could I be of assistance?
C= Well I just got my bill and I won't pay it
M= Alright... I'm afraid there's very little I can do though as we don't handle billing. Maybe I can explain some of the charges to you?
C= I just signed for a family plan with 4 lines and got my first bill. It was supposed to be around 100$ but it's 1900$ ( ๐Ÿ˜ณ ).
M= Oh... well... there must be the activation fees for all four lines and maybe additionnal ch...

SIMS card...

Yeah, I bet you were pissed when you saw "sims" and not "sim".

That's how I feel right now.

And every single day for that matter.

I don't know whoever thought that SIM had an "s" on the end, but I'd like to find the person who started that trend and gut them.

return policy

me: me
OL: old lady

OL: I need to exchange this phone, I can't see it in my purse, it doesn't ring nearly loud enough for me, blah blah.

me: (examining the phone as I listen) I will need all accessories in order to process the exchange.

OL: O, I have all those at home.

me: do you have the box as well?

OL: no, I didn't keep the box. I threw it away right when I got home.

me: we kinda need the box. it's part of that whole "new" thing. (in so many words)

OL: No one told me that (I sold her the phone; I didn't tell her that the BOX needed to be returned specifically. She's been around, and I thought had common sense)

me: explained return policy, processing fee if not in like new condition, etc.

OL: Well, no ...

Just had another customer

who thought all add-a-lines were included in the $99 Simply Everything plan

Damn, wouldn't that be a sweet deal. But it's a little ridiculous to think we'd activate 5 lines with unlimited everything for a hundy doncha think?

Mall Robbery plus shooting

So Sunday was an interesting day. There is a jewelery store up stairs that sells high priced figurines, rolexes and other assorted jewelery. Its right next to entrance to the parking garage. So Sunday afternoon near closing time a guy wearing a blonde wig and sunglasses robbed the place. What he didn't know is that there is a sheriffs substation in the mall and nothing ever happens in this town so you have bored cops everywhere waiting for something to happen. So he smashed display case and took some merchandise. He ran out the door to the second floor of the parking garage. The cops tried to stop him but he shot at the cops and the cops returned fire. They hit him like 4 or 5 times. They shot up the guy pretty good because the hosp...

sprintrepsunite.com

Has anyone seen this website?

sprintrepsunite.com

It looks like some reps are getting together to have the commissions structure changed.
There's a place to submit your own suggestions, and it looks like it's anonymous. I tried it and you can put a fake email address in.

I submitted a few suggestions already. Hopefully something is done to get us paid.

Glad its not my customer

One of our customer service reps is dealing with a customer right now, yelling and screaming because he thinks his phone should be covered under warranty... there is liquid damage behind his screen, but the liquid indicators in the back of the phone don't show any liquid damage. He said he declined insurance because he was buying a new phone and didn't need it, anything should be covered under the warranty (according to him). Do these people ever learn? ๐Ÿ™„

The concept of no...

is lost...so...i've worked in this industry for 2 years now and am sick of customers who don't understand the concept of "No." or "It's not an option/Available." I've had to escalated calls today becuase customers wanted brand new equipment which is not available under the manufacturers warranty--they freak out and go off about canceling service because they paid full price for a brand new phone...4 months ago...they think they are entitled to a new phone because thats what they originally purchased...well...you have a used phone now...so you're going to get a remanufactured phone...and then you try to explain to them that its set up the same way with EVERY carrier--cause it is...I have a different carrier and it's that way...I have friends ...

Can we say ... um greedy?

M-Me
C-customer

C-I'd like to set up 2 lines with you guys on the 59.99 family plan.

M-Well great! Let me just get the credit app started and we'll get you all set.

C-Oh and you don't have activation fees right? Like you can waive them for me and everything?

M-Well right now no, we don't have any activation fee promos at this time but the fees will get billed to you so you don't pay for them up front.

C-Oh okay I just hardly have any money on me. And this phone that's free after mail in rebate I could get that free now for signing up?

M-Well for signing up you get the phone for $30 today but you get that back in the mail in rebate, but no I don't have a code to override that. May I see your ID to get the app started?

Why do I get the crazies?

I had one woman who refused to give me her SS# (finally did but it had to be on yellow paper, not receipt tape), and got hysterical about everything... she even yelled at another customer & the cop doing security.

The, I just had another woman who was pissed about a $2.59 balance she had on her account (I had noted her account the previous month about how crazy she was), and whatever else.

I need to get the heck outta dodge. PLUS... almost everything around us is closing because of weather, but do ya think we are?!
