Use Your Common Sense
My store is closing tomorrow. Monday, the landlord put a FOR RENT sign in the window. All this week, customer after customer has asked me the same question:
Are you guys closing?
No, we're just renting out the corner of the store. DUH!

to be fair, we had a for lease sign in one of our storefronts for.... 4 months, I think. people asked, and we replied that we were moving, not closing. so, they're not completely out of sorts for asking.

Lack of common sense seems to be an epidemic lately. You would think that we would just be used to it by now but thats not the case. It just keeps getting worse.
