Just a little nibble for those of you who think that USCC is such a tiny company. New information came out at the end of 2004 that showed that in the state of Wisconsin 1 out of EVERY 5 people carry a USCC phone.

Even more, in Iowa 1 out of every 3 people carry a USCC phone.

These stats include everyone in the population not just those who have cellular service.

Personally i think that this is a pretty impressive stat, and i would like to know what the rest of you think. I would also guess that no other company is so dominate in the industry.

When Will Us Cellular(USCC) be gettin Aol Instant messenger or yahoo instant messenger. I really want aim on my phone but u cant get it. I have a v710 and its the top of the line phone 4 uscc. How can i get it.

When we got our phones we were told that we had Easyedge free for the first month. We were told and understood that this did not cover any applications that we downloaded.

My niece who shares my plan dowloaded one RealTone for $2.99. However our bills shows that she owes $79.31 for Easyedge for the first month!!

Were we given wrong information? Is Easyedge not free the first month??? We knew we'd have to pay for the applications but were told that using Easyedge was free for the first month!

My first bill and I am already po'd. Hope this isn't a sign of things to come! ☹️

I can't beleive there is another recall on LG's!! At least this time, it's just EE. What are your opinions on the LG phones? Any complaints?

Is the 1.4 software update that alot of people are talking about gonna be available for USC customers? I just called 3 different locations in Wisconsin and struck out. One of them said USC releases it's "final" software version and that's it. He says USC does not have the capability to update it's phones once they're released. Is this correct? Are the 1.4 improvements only for Verizon customers? Thanks

My wife and I were thinking about switching carriers when our contract with U.S. Cellular expired. My wife called them and asked when the contract ended. After that, we contacted Cingular, and were going to get the new service started, before our current contract with USC expired. We had not idea that porting out our number would also terminate our contract with USC. A few weeks later, we got a bill from USC for $300, for early termination. We were never told that we would be charged $300 for porting out our number. USC charged us, when there was less than a month left on the contract. I am so SAD that this promo is ending. It is a great incentive to buy two phones. Why wouldn't anyone when they can get 2 camera phones for free on a 49.95+ price plans. Oh, well, there must be a reason why it is ending. I'm gonna miss it though! 😢

I just wanted to ask anyone with a 6100 for U.S. cell if they noticed any major signal fluctuations? Or any dropped calls? Maybe in comparison to the 6000. I know Verizon was plagued by signal fluctuation and dropped calls as well as software problems with there lineup of 6100's. Are these 6100's different here at U.S. cell? Or is it same here as VZW?

I want to join USCC, but there'e not ONE phone that I like. Almost all USCC phones have a second button down the left hand side ( usually voice-memo button ) which drives me crazy. That's where my FINGERS rest !!! Actually, that's where my thumb rests as I hold it with my left hand. So, since today's group of cell-phone engineers are unable to manufacture a phone w/o annoying outside buttons, my question is this. Could I join USCC today, use my old phone from last time I was with USCC, and then get my discount off of some FUTURE phone - when mankind can actually invent a phone w/o side-buttons? I've tried sending my own midi's to my Nokia 6019i using Nokia PC Suite. I get an error message that says "Failed to update to phone."

Does USCC lock you out of sending your own midis so that you have to purchase them through easy edge?

USCC won spectrum in Minnesota! So within 2 years or so we will have the Twin Cities and other parts of Minnesota included in our central local calling area. 😁

I don't like ANY of the current line-up of USCC phones. Mostly cuz of the annoying side-buttons. Well, the V710 is acceptable since the buttons are located up high -- out of my way. But, I don't like the half-sized #'s 2, 5, and 8 on the keypad. The answer? The sequel to the v710 is the E815. All large keys, more memory, etc, etc. So don't mess around for months and months when you KNOW ( if you read this forum ) that the whole cell-world is buzzing about the E815. Thanks. 😕

I was wondering if there is anywhere to see the release dates of phones that US Cellular will be bringing out. Or if not exact dates, is there anywhere where I can just see a list of phones that they will be bringing out soon? I have a birthday coming up, and I am probably going to get a new phone for it. I just want to make sure that I want to ask for a phone now, when I don't know for sure if there will be one coming out that I will like even more.
