USCC won spectrum in Minnesota! So within 2 years or so we will have the Twin Cities and other parts of Minnesota included in our central local calling area. đ

Where did you find out about that. Someone send a message throughout our company yesterday that USC got the spectrum, but I haven't been able to find anything about it anywhere.

I have been all over the FCC website and do not see US Cellular listed or TDS listed as a winning bidder in that auction.

they did there bidding through carroll wireless. looks like they covered up a lot of holes in NC. Minneapolis/St.Paul will be huge though for the midwest, that was one of the main reasons people went to verizon when i worked in iowa.

We also bought spectrum in St. Louis and Indianapolis. Which will also be included in the Advanced Local Footprint

Once again, note that St. Louis was bought nearly a year ago and towers are virtualy all online so you can actualy pull service in St. Louis and not be charged roaming if your on the local plan.

Not true if you are on a Central local price plan or Midwest local price plan you will be billed for roaming in St Louis at this time.. Please don't mis inform people..

We've had spectrum there for quite awhile, if I'm not mistaken... just no towers.
