So, I got one out. And I am not impressed at all. The camera.... Yeah, not so good. So far the only one I like out of the Motorola family is the v262.

Come on Motorola, time to get a better phone. At least in CDMA 1XRTT. 😡

I think the v262 is better, too. I also think the v265 should have had a black soft-touch in the center portion of the front flip and the back cover. The front part shows too many fingerprints. A soft-touch cover in black on that phone would be striking.

Changing faceplates is not a big deal, but even if the there is only one color, soft-touch is the way to go on low-end and mid-tier phones.

Did you try the camera out? It is so dark. I tried to make it brighter, but it didn't do anything. Can't believe we are selling it. ☹️

Tried it, didn't work. Motorola discont the 810 for the 265... Does that make sense?

There weren't many v810 phones made anyway for the U.S. and even think the batch USCC got were originally intended for Verizon's initial launch. Since USCC was basically the main carrier, Motorola was not going to invest anymore into the phone without a larger carrier supporting it -- that and the fact the phone actually is older technology (and sells well in Latin America).

The v265 can be considered the replacement to the v810, but only because there weren't that many v810 phones around.

Anyway, I don't remember enough about the camera on the v265 but there should be some setting to adjust the camera.
