The 6100 is the grandfather of the 8000.

3). 7000
4). 8000
Why any carrier would bother to offer this dinasaur now is pathetic.

How is the 6100 pathetic? It's a great phone! It takes all the favorite features from three phones ands put them all in one handset. It's easy to use, reliable, and LG has no plans to remove it from the line-up any time soon.

Updates are made to phones all the time. The Moto 262 just came out, and we already have the updated 265. Does that make the 262 pathetic? (Well, more so than it already is??)

I think the 262 is a much better phone that the 265. Have you looked at the 265 yet?

Yeah, I was playing with it earlier. I don't think I can emphasize how much I hate both of them. They're both confusing, the inside screen is way too small, and I don't like the reversed colors on the outside screen. Why buy the 262 when the 5550 is only $10 more?

Agree on the small internal display of the v26x phones. Disagree on the external display with reversed characters as I find it easier to read. The 5550 is not as advanced as the v26x phones, but as we all know, there's no accounting for tastes.
