OMG Similar happened to me the other day. Mom comes in with 13 yrold daughter.

So i finish the activation and programming and 5 minutes later she comes back and wants to change back to the env... apparently she just wanted to try out the phone... ahem... which meant she had to have it active to try it out!?! OMG IT POWERS UP ACTIVE ...

i keep having customer come in who didnt even get their aircard from me expecting me to teach them how to use the internet and set them up a yahoo email address and eveything that the commissioned rep didnt bother to tell them. I.e. how to check data usage/disconnecting the device instead of just pulling it out/etc. I love it.

so i just got done dealing with a customer who wanted to sit there for 45 minutes talking about how he spends millions a year on his verizon account (which is 59.99 per month) and how appauled he is that he has had to buy 4 car chargers for his 8300. I asked him if he had one to show me, to which he said "yes in the car, but i stepped on that one" which he didnt mention ...

They really do though. EXCLUDING PDA... all the bluetooth capable handsets say in their "supported profiles" object transfer.. so if its not working and samsung/motorola/LG intended it to work... then who crippled them?
Pearl,curve, and moto Q can do object transfer, although i have found that the Q has a special menu you have to use... whereas my blackjack; if bluetooth is on; i can use the alt menu and say send- via bluetooth.

If you hate all the whining... then why do you deal with "Shop Talk"? Why not lounge, or tech and trends? because its entertaining to hear someone else tlak about their experience with that one snaggle-tooth that had you trying every code they could think of for their account before you finally ask to see their phone to find out its the wrong carrier.

So i work for verizon but carry at&t (i know BOOO! but i have a grandfather contract with att.. deal is at the bottom of post)

After 20 minutes of her trying to remember the password. Trying every childs birth year, her last four, her name, her kids names, her husbands names and favorite things;
i finally tell her i cannot access the account until you get the password. Your husband can call cust service
(whos policy is always different, one day oh they have to be at their home phone for us to verify/ ...

Irony (had a cust so just submitted where i was at). We get that crap regardless. If they have to drive 30 minutes or 5 minutes they still say "Then why are you here?" But when they come back with their bill for an explanation of overage, or to fix their calling plan minutes, or pair their bluetooth, or ask about if they can use their phone outside of the US, they love us because they got to avoid ...

only cuz the custy interrupted my fun of reading this... and then had to do it!! I work at an idirect for VZW between two stores.. one miles and miles from the corp, and the otehr accross the street. Im at the one way out from corp today.

i feel you,
ours is accross the street, but very well known for sucking period. So often its customer who i qualified and explained the features and capabilities and even explained bluetooth to the idiot, then they buy it online or through telesales, and then they bring the phone in for me to activate and copy their numbers for them... and while im at it will i show them how to sync their bluetooth again...
