And it begins

I remember, once again why I hate people.

Three calls today...

Out of seven...

That's more than half of the people I have talked to...

Bought their bluetooth headset at a store and it's not working and they want us to fix it.

We can't. We only handle headsets WE send out.

The one woman... said she paid in cash for the headset and didn't bother keeping the receipt.

Sounds like you're up a creek with no paddle to me... maybe you should keep your receipt on things like that...

And then she started going off about how she had two sick kids and how it would be all our fault if she got stuck in the car with two sick kids and couldn't call for help... because her bluetooth headset wasn't working? That doesn't make it impos...

Annoying Co-workers

Have you guys ever worked with someone who is just flat out different/special? I have a co-worker who explains everything he is doing for customers to the point that it is annoying. Like-
"Ok, so now I'm going to turn the phone over and write the phone number on the box. I'm doing this because that way you can tell who's phone it is. Then I'm going to start ringing the phone out....ok so now I have to scan in the phone so that it activates then I choose the plan."

Its like he is giving a damn sales training to new employees but its a customer. To make it worse he always tries to sing the song thats on the radio while he is ringing stuff out.

I hate people like this.

Cust: So, uh, the phone you're sending out. Is that the same type of phone.

Me: Yes. Same type of phone.

Cust: Oh, there's no way to change it?

Me: No. It's the same type of phone.

Cust: Oh... so no way to swap?

Me: No. Same type of phone. It's a like for like exchange.

Cust: Oh, not even if I pay more?

Me: No.

Cust: Oh, okay. So it's the same phone.

Me: .... Yes.

My voice is almost gone, and I'm all congested. ๐Ÿ˜•

People need to be more self-sufficient

Seriously, one of the most annoying things to hear at retail - and unfortunately, one of the most common things - is "Can you do it for me?" Why?

Seriously, people just are completely incapable and/or unwilling to just do things for themselves. It's really ridiculous.

It doesn't matter what it is. Add minutes to your prepaid account? Turn up the volume on your phone? Put the SIM card into a new phone (I've had someone drive 2 hours to the store for me to do this with a replacement phone because they wouldn't listen to me when I tried to walk them through it on the phone)? Change the ring tone? Put the phone on silent?

And those are just things I've heard here at my current job. At the game stores I worked at I frequently had...

Worst reason a customer has for an exchange

I just had this hillbilly exchange the original phone I sold her for a samsung cause "It makes noise when it opens." What an easily amused simple minded idiot. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

I sell phones, not Mary Kay/Arbonne/Herbal supplements

Why is it that when you do a successful sales pitch to someone they suddenly think they have the right to accost you with schpiel about selling their make-up products? This lady just tried to get my coworker to sell her rip-off herbal supplements for an hour after asking some questions about bluetooth headsets. Meanwhile, 5 activations walk in, all of which my coworker missed. WHAT A BITCH!

I get people asking me to sell Mary Kay a lot and I always politely say no thanks!

me: um, sir the calls clearly show they were made between noon and 6pm many times during the month.

customer: but im in the office all day and lock my phone unused in my car till 7pm! i think your bill is wrong!

me: I'm not going by the bill I'm going by the usage inquiry in my system, which in fact matches the bill. You used the phone during those times or someone did.

customer: but i didnt use it! i got witnesses!

๐Ÿคจ

me: ... im sorry sir you cannot dispute the undisputable.

customer: yes i can! and i will! i want a supervisor!

I hate it when...

...you can tell a customer is going to be a pain in the rear from the moment they pull into the parking lot. What's up with that???? I think people just give off a horrible vibe sometimes.

Listen little girl...

You aren't the account holder therefore you are not a customer. Getting a snippy tone with me because a STOLEN phone isn't covered under manufacturer's warranty (DUH?) definitely isn't going to help your cause. She also informed me that she doesn't have to pay a deductible on her insurance anymore because she has TEP. Okay, sweetie, except the phone is stolen so we don't just hand you another for free. Then she got REALLY mad when I wouldn't call the insurance company and tell them not to charge her a deductible. Get out of my face, f'ing teenager.

I hate this chick. She is in here every couple of weeks making demands and when we won't help her, she calls her mom and gets her to yell at us. She and her twin sister have also earned the un...

dear god... sprint(and ACS) sucks....

ok i open the account, the guy on the other side is a store rep, a Sprint store rep.... so i'm like all happy "how can i provide you with excellent customer service today?" and then he tells me... umm yea i need you to fix this account for me, he did a transfer of liability for account that was over the spending limit by 200 ****ing dollars, on top of that the line he transferred off the former account was the only line active on the account, so when he transferred that line, it finalized the account... which in turn reduced the accounts spending limit to one dollar, the max temp credit i can issue is 200 dollars(the cust need , not to mention my prick of a superviosr had the entire teams credits blocked... so i had to wonder the call center...

What's there to think about?

I think I might have 2 acts...they are discussing it in the food court. If I had been offered this deal, I would jump on it, personally:

*waive act fees on both lines
*one month free
*military 15% discount on monthly bill
*an additional $25 instant rebate on each phone, as well as $100 in MIR
*$100 service credit

I was given permission on the service credit because she had a $150 deposit per line and was going to walk. The rest is current promos, minus the deals on the phone which I added to close the sale. Now it's 5 till close and they are nowhere in sight. I'll give them until 5 after to get back because I'm hard up for a sale, but come on! I hope they don't come in another day expecting me to give away the farm again.
