bad call turns to good call

i work in training for big red. i coach reps to get them prepared for the main call floor. i take their esc calls, maybe 3 a day. well this one i took today was this guy that has been trying to get his employee discount since december 2007 and everytime he called in people would tell him it was added and would take 1 or 2 bill cycles to be added. first of all if it was added it would be on the bill already or at least show in promotions. well he wouldn't let me get a word in to try and ask him questions. finally i was able to get a word in and asked him if he had a work email address, he did so i put it in on the website and it worked! i walked him thru filling out the info in the email and it was applied to the account. i really wish all c...

To the Collections Rep

...who just spoke with the asian woman who speak in run on sentences: I'm sorry you had to speak with her. I wouldn't have put you on the phone with her if she hadn't insisted. Thank you for telling her the same thing that I did, that we won't let her activate a new line with us unless she pays us the FULL amount she owes.

If it makes you feel anybody, I reamed her after she hung up the phone on you for being so rude and childish. I told her that not hearing what she wanted was no reason to hang up the phone on someone. She then told me I was rude for trying to prevent her from hanging up the phone, and that you had hung up on her. I called her on her BS and again told her she needs to pay what she owes or go home. She went home....

UUGGHHH I need to vent

I have a customer that is a very needy customer. He started with a razor and after having problems he through a fit until his warranty replacement could be a different model. I didn't blame him because of all the issues. However, HE made the choice to get a Samsung U340. He hates this phone and hasn't liked it from the beginning. He comes in to turn the vibrate option on because he doesn't know how. He comes in and says it's broke just to find out it needs charged. He drives me NUTS!!! To top it all off... today he comes waltzin in and I immediately said to myself, "oh great" and he said his phone won't charge. I looked at his charge port and it was completely broken, like bouncing around the inside of the phone. Not only that, the c...

Work

This is my first post, and I am not quite sure if this belongs in Shop Talk or the Lounge, but here it goes. I have found that mass quantities of alcohol on a daily bases makes working in a sales call center bearable. Am I the only one that feels this way, or is it just me? 😈

ECPV

This is just to ask if any AT&T reps have access to the ECPV (e-contract profile viewer). We haven't been able to access that server since last week.

Dumb question of the day!!!

Cust just called and asked the DUMB QUESTION OF THE DAY! M:=Me C:=Customer
C: Hey, the yellow pages published my business phone with the wrong area code, I checked the number and it's a Verizon number (his account is with Sprint) I was wondering if I could get that number ported in to my account so I don't miss any calls.
M: No, I'm sorry, we can't just grab a number from another carrier like that.
C: Well, I've ported in numbers before, why can't you port this one in to my account?
M: That number is not owned by you and may be assigned to someone else, we can't simply grab a number that is owned by another carrier.
C: No, it's not assigned, I checked that out. Can't you just port it in?
M: No.

so i just pissed off a custy

had this guy come in with a broken razr (screen was smashed). he is from down south and was here with his mother. of course no insurance and not avail for upgrade. so i tell him the retail prices and he isnt having it. luckily mom is ready for upgrade, so i cheat the system a lil and upgrade her then esn swap the phones for them. while im doing this i have like 3 other custy's walk up to my kiosk. so i'm tryin to talk to all of em so i dont lose any sales (they all left anyway). Well i went to transfer the dudes contacts from the broken razr to the new phone, but since i was distracted/in a hurry i accidently hooked the phones up backwards, entered the info backwards and erased all his contacts 🤭

yea he was kinda pissed. never ye...

The end is now

It is with a heavy heart that I am forced to come forward as a loyal Verizon Wireless employee and announce the dissolution of the Wireless Data Technical Support team (known to customers as WDTS). I really didn't want to reach outside the company channels. My fellow employees and I were desperately hoping to get some questions answered during a "skip level" meeting with the Albuquerque call center director, however the meeting was abruptly cancelled at the eleventh hour leaving the fate of our entire division 'teter'ing drunkenly at the edge of a precipice. I don't know if there were extenuating circumstances but the meeting, which included top employees, was scheduled to squelch rumors spiraling around the transition of WDTS from highly ...

Let me explain something to you, Stuck Up Customer

some people just don't get that. take, for example, the customer I just had walk up with a BB world edition…which she proceeded to remind me time and again WAS a world edition – gee really? – and grill me in a condescending manner as to whether I was capable of helping her with it.

C: Do you know anything about blackberries?
Me: (mentally) no, not at all, I only work at a freaking vzw store. What is this blackberry of which you speak?? What, do you want me to ooh and ah over you?
C: Well you see, I was in X town the other day and my browser was slow. This is unacceptable. *pauses to apply lipgloss to heavily collagen-ed lips*
Me: Oh really? I’m sorry to hear that. Is it working better now that you’re ho...

c-uh yes my name is such and such and i have been a customer of yours for 5 or 6 years. i just got off the phone with a guy who said i could come to your store and get a free phone...

Twilight Zone

Its a small world after all...
So a customer is talking to my coworker trying to get a manufac. Warranty replacement for her phone. Meanwhile a girl comes in with her Gma and a broken black 8550 (the phone is broken in half along the keypad). I asked what happened and the grandma tries to tell me she dropped it right out in walmarts parking lot... She wants a new phone and i explain outright pricing.
She leaves to go get money off an atm card... While she is gone the customer with my coworker tells us she knows the girl from school, and how her phone broke...
Apparently amongst prostitution and sending nasty pictures of herself to others, THE PICTURES spread around school along with the rumors and eventually made it to her moms cell phon...

Old People

I just had an older gentleman in here that was having a "problem" with his new phone. It was turned off🙂 You really have to love old people. It used to be my phone won't charge, because they would try to charge it through the headphone jack.

m: I see and how might I be of assistance?
wc: well the roadside guy didn't charge me so I wanted to let you know to debit that credit back to my account.

Are you freaking kidding me??

Customer comes to us and asks for a case...we don't have one in stock, so we refer them to the other indirect vzw store down the way...the customer walks back to us saying that the rep couldn't recognize the phone.

IT WAS AN LG-VX8300!!! who can't recognize that, are you kidding me??? And second of all, who doesn't know to pop off the battery and look underneath for the model number? wow...

oh and he told the cm that he'd been working there for a couple months..try a couple days, chachi. good work. 🤣 😳

This is funny

I work for one of the cell phone insurance companies and one of my co-workers got a call from a lady who swore we sent her a possessed phone. She said all it would do was dial "6" over and over. My co-worker advised the lady to send the phone back for another replacement....the lady proceeded to tell her that she couldn't package it up because she wasn't touching a possessed phone and that she couldn't understand how our company would send a church going women a possessed phone...my co-worker then told the lady that we have no way of knowing if you go to church or not and to just have someone else package it up for her and ship it back for a replacement.

I swear some people need to remember to take there meds. LMAO.
