"I thought I was being smart."

No, honey, what you were doing was committing FRAUD.

Seriously. What. The. Cow.

People make me want to beat my head rather vigorously against the wall.

She placed this order online, adding two lines for her kidlettes. She didn't feel comfortable giving her full social on the interweb so what does she do?

Class?

Any guesses?

For those of you who said "She ****ing made one up." You get full points.

She said "Well first I put in all zeros and it wouldn't take that so I kept adding digits until it went through." Did you ever wonder, oh font of wisdom, why it wasn't accepting your fabricated number?

It's called FRAUD nitwit. Why The Cow do people think that because they don't want to give their REAL socia...

How to Deal With Rude Customers?

So this is a hilarious, slightly rude, yet not outrightly offensive, possibly acceptable, tactic against a customer who is being rude and just making your job difficult (note: I've never done it).
So one of our reps here keeps a bag of chips, nuts, or other snack (preferably crunchy he says) open on his desk within easy access. And after a certain point if the customer starts making him mad... just slowly pours some into his hand, looks em in the eye, and tells em like it is... while MUNCHING AWAY!

What do you think? Any other tactics out there?

The media needs to get their **** straight

I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this in the media. I saw a story on ABC about how if your phone was free then you shouldn't get the insurance. Seriously? Do the reporters and editors NOT know how much these damn phones cost? All of the hard work we put in to educate customers is again erased in an instant thanks to the local news team. I can only imagine how many thousands of people saw that and think the same way.

Second thing, I was watching an episode of King of Queens and the wife had made cell phone covers and was selling them. People didn't want to buy them and one of the guys excuses was "the phone was free". Now this just affirms the myth that when you go into a cell phone store you can get something for nothing an...

i am going to save the environment..

if cellphone companies would quit sending activation instructions with every warranty/insurance claim they send out, we would save the environment!

it's like everyone magically forgets how to read as soon as they open that mystical box.

..

needless to say, if i have one more insurance/warranty claim come in today ..
i'm going to cry. โ˜น๏ธ

AT&T COR Reps

Hey all, I'm hoping someone will be willing to send me a copy of your commission structure. I currently work for an agent and will soon be starting outside sales, my manager has asked that I propose a pay structure as I'm switching from hourly to base plus commission and I'm not really sure where to go with it. You can send it via PM if you like, probably the easiest way. Or my email is hombre7@gmail.com

Thanks.

Another Not Up to Date Customer

๐Ÿ˜ณ ๐Ÿ™„

C:Yeah, I was just looking at what kind of service you offer. How much do you have to pay per month?

Me:Well, that all depends on the rate plan you decide to go with.

Cโ˜น๏ธWith a dumb founded expression in her voice and on her face):Rate plan. What's that?!?!? ๐Ÿคฃ

ETF

Why in the world do people think that just because they have been a long time custy, we will waive the ETF when they want to cancel when still under contract? If you are leaving, what incentive does your carrier have to make you happy? This just makes no sense to me!

dumb skank

So this lady and her family come in to check out phones for a carrier. She claims she can get a corporate discount, plus data packages which are 30 per phone, plus minutes which normally cost over 100 for four phones, plus insurance for 120.. and get this..this is the kicker..if she buys her phones outright and goes on a prepaid plan. I totally lol'd with an underside of rage because of her stupidity which kept increasing as I explained that this wasn't possible on prepaid and her smart phones are going to cost over 350 a pop meaning its going to cost her over 1000 dollars for phones for monthly prices that aren't available on prepaid... god what a stupid whore...

Spying on the kid's texting...

I have a VZW customer who's concerned about the content of the text messages her son is sending to his girlfriend. She says her friend's friend's cousin's sister-in-law (or whatever) has a program that sends duplicate messages to her phone of the texts her child sends. I'd never heard of this, and I'm not even sure if it can be done. Anyone out there know about something like this?

best insurance replacement story I've heard yet (longish)

my coworker used to work for this One Cellular company and one of his customers wanted to cancel five lines of service after only 2 months (at $20/line/month: total $2200) if they wouldn't insurance replace his Nokia 6100 because of the moisture damage it suffered.

As most of us know, that phone's vibration is quite strong, which is one feature he wanted when he bought it. Turns out that the strong vibration wasn't being used for call notification in a falirly loud environment or for during meetings. At least not business meetings. He was using it as a sex toy on, or rather IN his wife, and he wants it replaced because it did not vibrate like it had before.

the story came out because there was some moisture in the keys, and the cu...

Forcing the smile

I have been selling phones for almost six years now. I normally have no problem putting on a fake smile and being friendly to ensure that a customer buys today, despite things that may be bothering me. Today though is the first time that I can't do it.
