I fell out of my chair. she was concerned that I had fainted, but when i sat up laughing, she got a little red-faced too. the embarrassment seemed to turn to interest or curiosity when I spelled it correctly to the dumb-founded call center agent.
Wow...This is sad!
I have been out of wireless for almost two years, and I still feel empathetic anger with you guys when you post comments about stupid customers...its almost like I am still selling phones!
I wonder if I will ever get over the feeling of frustration and wanting to bang my head on the desk until I can't feel my face anymore. Perhaps I need some inner healing to get over the pain of working with cell phones?

(Keep in mind the actually directory is like 10+ feet high and literally 5 feet from my kiosk)

Worst Luck
So, to set things up, I work at a store in the mall, but we also have a cart inside the mall that all of the employees work at once or twice per week. The cart pretty much sucks because it gets very little business, there is no back room, and most of the time you are by yourself.
So far today, I have done one transaction, added some prepaid minutes to a phone. Aside from that I have had nothing except for the occasional "My phone is broken." or, "Where is (insert store that is easily found on the directory here)".
So the closer shows up, I decide I am hungry, so I take 30 minutes for lunch. I have been here for 6 hours with only that one transaction to show for it. 1...

Phone charging
I had a lady come in and asked if she could charge her Shadow while she shopped for a little bit. Sure no problem we have about 3 mini usb chargers on the floor.
Some other girl comes in with a nokia and wants to charge it. I inform her that I don't have any nokia chargers that I can charge it for her. She ask why not and I tell her that I would have to open a box to plug it in. It doesn't register in her brain and she gives me a blank look and says she works in the mall and just wants to charge it. I tell her that I can't open a new box just so she can charge her pho...

Time to vent..........
So i just had this older lady come. She has a plan in her name. Her husband works for the state and therefore would be eligible for a discount on monthly service with verizon wireless. She asked me how she could go about doing this. I told her that she would have to do a change of financial liability on her account to her husband. I went into her account and saw she was due for an upgrade. She had mentioned she wanted a new phone. I told her that it would be best for her to do the upgrade now and wait to do the account switch later. so i do the upgrade.
