Old guy

So i had some old guy just call me, he wanted to set up 2 prepaid lines but he wanted me or a sales rep to drive 25 miles to his house and bring a phone and show him his coverage. i tried to explain that we have a coverage map and i could look it up for him. He said "that is Absolutely Ridiculous that we wont drive out there and that we lost a potential customer."

Yeah because I am going to leave my store with only one other person there and drive 50 miles total with todays gas prices just for prepaid. i know the coverage maps aren't perfect but they arent terrible either. Plus i work for a corporate store. I know our HR wouldnt let us do that, and if someone found out (like our DM) i'd be in some major trouble. I can belive how crazy peo...

Question for VZW reps....

Has anyone ever heard of these scenarios happening before?

(1) Customer comes into my indirect location. I do his credit check in eRoes. Customer has a $400 deposit. Customer leaves. Later on I find out Customer went to corporate VZW store and activates a new line of service without a deposit.

(2) Customer comes into my indirect location and wants to activate a new line of service using thier own phone. Customer tells me that they we're already approved for service through VZW Customer Service. I reenter thier information in eRoes. Credit decision shows they would have to pay a $400 deposit.

Any explanation as to why things like this would happen? Is there something different about credit checks through indirect locations as opposed...

End of an Era

I put in my Two Weeks on Wednesday.

I have 8 shifts left that are scheduled.

I think I may be ill.

I never thought it would end the way it is going, I always assumed I would be leaving T-Mobile when I finished college but here I am, two years left, packing my bags and heading for the door.

I am in College, entering my official Junior Year, I am transferring down to a large university after far too long at a Community College. I was there for so long because I do not handle change well; I took as many classes there as possible before I finally had to transfer.

My course load is rather rigorous (I am taking Engineering Physics, Mineralogy, Mechanics, and Graphical Interface Systems.) a total of 15 credit hours, only the Physic...

Rewards Programs

So as a salesman, every company has their own rewards programs as incentives to sell products. Recently there was the Samsung Rewards program, where for every samsung that was sold, you earn a certain number of points that can be redeemed for prizes. I cashed in big on that. Blackberry has also been running a program. Unfortunatly these programs are few and in between and are rarely announced. They have to be found by chance most of the time. My question to you all, are there any going on now that i don't know about!?!?! 🤤

Business Ideas

Ok so Im in charge of coming up with 3 new ideas for the month that advertise and get customers into our store. The problem is that our mall is dying and store by store people are pulling out so we don't have alot of passerby's popping in.
I was wondering if anybody has any good ideas that worked for you to increase traffic to your stores I'd really like to hear them.

My previous attempts which have worked ok:

getting up 2 hours before the mall opens when all of the "mall-walkers" do their laps and pass out water bottles with our label on it.

a club custy's join via txt to stay posted on store sales, upgrade dates, etc.

I'm heading to Baltimore, MD for a couple of days to check out the Body Worlds exhibit and the Baltimore National Aquarium. Ths inner harbor is a great place to chill out in for a couple of days. The Good Old Days

So before i moved to a real city with real people i wroked in a remote, out of the way, down a dark ally, literally a hole in the wall, AT&T store.(ghetto) It had no street signage, just a small metel sign stuck in the grass, yeah, the kind political parties litter your front yard with. Down a corner hallway in the back of a strip mall. Every day, open to close for two months straight i "worked" there right before they closed it down. I say "worked" because i had 13, YES THIRTEEN, total oppertunities for the month. My average day consited of me arriveing 15 min. late, a 2-3 hour nap before lunch, crack head around 2pm, and your occasional "wow, i didnt know you guys were even here until i saw you while getting my (insert asian cusuine) next ...
