It makes me sad

Customer just came back into the store asking me why I shut off his phone service. "THe phone just stopped worknig after we left here?" I have no idea how to respond since all I did was check to see if he was able to add more lines on his account. He hands me the phone I notice the screen is black.. I take the phone hold the power button and it comes back on... he wasn't even an elderly customer (only 40yo). And we sold him the phone two months ago, so apparently it had never been shut down since then.
This and an aircard return have been my day so far...

Me: Hi. How can I help you?

Custy: Oh i'm just checking out the phones.

Me: Did you see anything you wanted to check out?

Custy: My boyfriend works for Verizon Wireless. He's gonna get me a phone. I just wanted to see which one I wanted while I was here in the mall.

The funniest customer i have talked with in a while......

10 minutes before I closed a "gentleman" came in with a broken phone. He is a prepaid customer so he did not have insurance and of course he was not elligible for an upgrade...lol. So i look at the phone and it is a goner...No hope. What followed was perhaps the funniest conversation i have had in a whle.

Me: Sir you are going to need a new phone..

C: Okay..what are my options.

Me: these...

C: I will take that one...

Me: Are all of your phone numbers saved on the sim card??

C: Yes i always make sure they are on the sim..

Me: ok lets power up the new phone... 😳 😳 😳

Me: Sir there are six numbers on here...

c: What... Are you kidding me

ME: No...sir apparently they were not saved..However there are ways to ...

Windfall adjustment

I work for bigred corp, and I was wondering how many other companies are doing this now.

Apparantly when I hit 300% of my "targeted commision" they take half away after that, I lost a huge sume of money this month, and I'm already over 300% this month. Any other carriers do this to their employees?

Ungratefull @ss

Some people are so ungratefull. I had this guy come in to our store with a unlocked samsung slide from were ever. He wants to copy all his contacts to his SIM because he is getting a Blackberry. So I figure out how to copy all his numbers to his SIM. It takes awhile then the phone says SIM Memory full. So I look to see how many contacts he has. His phone has like 560 and the sim 250. Now he is mad because his phone has double entries and his crappy phone can't select the memory to show. Never helping him again.

Checks

So, I had this kid , about age 14, come in to my store yesterday. Wants to pay the bill for his uncles account. He opens up a little envelope and hands me the bill and a check.

Unfortunately I had to explain to him that I need his uncle to be there to provide ID for this check. He asks if he can just call and get the ID number. I explain to him that we need proper picture ID to verify that the owner of the check is the person using the check. We have to swipe it in the machine to authorize the check. After much arguing he finally leaves.

About 2 minutes later a lady comes in and wants to pay her bill. She opens her little envelope and low and behold, its the same check for the same bill. I go through the whole run around again. She fi...

My Precious Customer

Just had one of those lovelies come in. White trash single mother who looks about 15 years older than she really is. Funny thing, she walks through the door with her son who is approximately 10 years old, and she sees me sitting at the desk and mutters (not quietly enough) "Oh great". I know I'm in for a treat now, cause I remember this woman from a previous encounter. You see, she's not an authorized user on the account. We go round and round about that again today, and then she gets in a screaming match--literally--with her son about what cell phone number they are trying to access. She calls her son a "stupid a$$" right in front of me. He took it right in stride; apparently he's used to being treated like that. I finally had to in...

Crazy people should not own cell phones

Ok... so I get a lot of what I classify as "Crazy-wacky-nut-jobs" but I had one just now that made me sit back and go "Are you for real?" She was that nuts.

So setting the stage.

It's 8:45 PM Pacific time, she's in Texas where it is nearly 11 PM. She places an order for a charger and selects overnight shipping. On the site where she placed the order it says that orders placed after 4 PM Pacific will not ship until the following day.

When I get the order to complete I notice the overnight shipping and, before completing it, advise her again that it will not ship until tomorrow and will arrive Thursday, not Wednesday. She agrees "That's Fine" she says.

I say, great, let me get this completed. It will take 2-3 minutes for the j...

I went out side for a quick smoke break and i left my brand new gatorade on the counter with a sip gone and someone straight stole it!!! mind you im working alone today and i havent seen anyone i know come by all day.. Society, Bums, Get a FU(K!Ng JOB!!!

the wireless industry is soo effed up, and the customers are so spoiled.

I work in a corporate location for a carrier that has a 30 day return/exchange policy. i had a lady come in here and she is on her 47th day and wants to exchange her phone for something else because she decided she doesnt like it. she sais she has been sick for the last couple of weeks and that is why she couldnt make it in.. but those couple of weeks were already outside of the 30 days anyways. she asks to talk to my manager who she tells that if he cant help her that she is going to the district manager, and if he cant she will go higher.

i strait told the ladie, "we have a 30 day return policy, we make exceptions for 31, 32 days but two weeks is too far."

so i had this customer call in....

me: thanks for calling business care. how can i help you?

cust: i bought a phone and they did not transfer the contacts from my old sim card to the new one.

m: i'll be happy to help you with that. do you have your old sim card with you?

c: yeah, why?

m: I need you to put your old sim card in your new device.

c: why?

m: I'm gonna walk you through the steps to transfer your contacts to your phone.

c: i dont have time to do all that!!
(she then hangs up.)
