you know what i hate (very long)

granted ive been in the industry almost 15 years but this is the stuff that makes me drink

i hate little gangbangers that want the most expensive phone and then gripe about the cost of and try to act all tough around me for intimidation

i hate stupid teenagers that are under 18 and come into the store and want to play with live model phones and then proceed to make an ass out of themselves in their retarded emo way

i hate people who bitch about their phone breaking and not having insurance when they were told that it covers all acts of god and stupidity

i hate stupid employees that cant do anything on their own and then act all sweet to you like that supposed to make you feel better for them breathing the oxygen they dont deserve...

i finally did it and your gonna love it

so after posting my previous 2 post i decided enough is enough and started saying what i wanted to say

i broke my screen on my lg rumor just got stupid a dropped it is there a way i can get a deal homey (homey????? im white irish im not really a homey i look like a punk version of harry potter)

did you look at your manual that came in the box?

um nah i dont read that stuff

do you have insurance?

well on the first page of the manual it says in huge bold letters "DONT BREAK YOUR DAMN PHONE" looks like ebay maybe the best option for ya

He waited til I came in for my shift and just decided to quit. So here I am sitting all alone in my kiosk on a very busy back to school shopping weekend.

I had an epiphany.....

A few weeks ago, and it's working beautifully.

I've stopped being the cliche happy and smiley fake dude who sells cell phones.


If a customer didn't buy their phone at my kiosk, I don't help them with it. They're taking away my selling time.

If a customer complains to me about a bill, I tell them it's their fault and they need to call customer service because I don't deal with the bills, I just sell the phones.

I sell VZW and AT&T, and I always get the lovely customers that walk up to my kiosk just to tell me how much they hate one or the other. I look them in the face and say, "I'm sure they hate you, too." And smile. It leaves every last one of these annoying ass people speechless.

Then there are the people who have a carri...

Phones with a Flash player?

I play several online Flash games in my free time, and I'm considering getting a phone with internet capabilities for myself. I'm doing some searching on my own, but I'd like to know if any of you know of any phones capable of using Flash and which could support clicking gameplay. I know it's doubtful such a phone exists, but never give up hope right? Right?

SOOOO SLOW!!! Havent even talked to a customer yet...

Upper Valley Mall has no customers watsoever, the only action i get is people asking me what time it is!! i just wanna say if you had a nice verizon phone you wouldnt be askin me the time!! lol

Do customers think no matter whats wrong with their phone they can hand it to me and tell a 1 sec. description of whats it doing and then tell me to fix it???

solution: I've stoped even looking at the phone
( kinda funny when there standing there trying to hand it to me )

god i wish

all cell phone people unite one day all over the us and canada and just boycott stupid people kinda like a no tax day or something....i mean why are we being nice to people who treat us like crap...an extra bit on the check??? hell half the time they dont buy crap from us anyway.. theyre gonna go to the competition and those customers usually jump carriers like pearl harbor. man im done people get crappy with me or ask stupid questions their gonna know it and bet my sales either go up or stay the same

Any former Call Center reps make the jump to Stores for a different carrier?

I'm tired of Call Center shenanigans. After almost 4 long years, I'm sure my timer is just about done.

I'd like to point out that it's not the customers that are driving me insane. It's the non-stop, pointless droning of management. People in suits who think they have a clue how a company is supposed to be run because they had a few weeks in a different industry.

The things they do make no sense. The trainings we're given are clearly not written by people who have EVER dealt with a customer (Seriously, when was the last time a customer said to you "You know, I wish SOMEONE would help me choose the right plan. I just keep going over my minutes and I need help!" Ugh. Idiots)

Management also tries to save people not worth saving. The...

Should i accept tips???

Customer just came in trying to set up a laptop connect card. For some dumb a** reason he has to go to a corp store to do it as told to us by customer service. BUT for my trouble he gave me some $. I told him he didnt owe me anything but he gave it to me anyway.

Should i have taken it??

The bad thing is its more than i woulda made on the sale anyways!!

Stop breaking my slider phones!!!

I know they're just fake phones that cost me $3 each, but Christ on a crutch.
If you pull on the phone and it doesn't open right up...it's not stuck. STOP PULLING!

I've lost three phones in the last month this way and my AAE won't let me put little stickers saying "slider phone" on them because they're not authroized by the company.

Unscientific and meaningless poll time! Sales reps in the wireless industry have been burning out since the begining of time. Do you think its more due to corp demands & pressure OR more due to rude & demanding customers? My personal vote is corp.

Wow, just wow!

I'm sure we all have experienced some strange event while working in the wireless industry but I think this may take the cake. I was working a few nights ago when a teenage girl came into the store with her grandmother to look at phones because her birthday was coming up and she wanted a new blackberry. I verified the customers info and pulled up the account and explained that her line was still under contract so if she wanted a new phone it would be at retail value. Of course this was devastating to the girl and she was upset so I wanted to help them and sell a phone. I explained that at our location we offer flipswap for their old phones and they could get store credit to use towards the purchase of a new phone or any accessories. The left...
