I was in the breakroom just now and a girl is standing infront of the Pepsi machine. she puts her money in and then procedes to get upset becaused ther is no Coke in there. Really? there's no coke in the pepsi machine? those are the agents that fail to read account notes and escalate to me when the cust asks for something they were offered but the agent does not want to give it to them. even though the notes state to give it. 🤣

Please keep in mind this customer comes in at least once a week and asks the same question.

C: When can I get a new phone?

Me: (looks up account verifies customer etc) Well, it looks like you will be eligible to renew your contract in 5 days and than you can purchase the phone for the 2 year contract price that is listed on the phone.

C: So how much do I need to pay?

This makes me want to punch myself in the face. The customer of course proceeds to look at the most expensive phone on the market and asks if they will be getting this one for free. When I show them the phones that are free or under 20 bucks. They act like they are appalled that I would offer them that phone because there phone is so much better.

Once upon a time there was a Crazy Lady who might have known a Man who might have placed an order for a line of service with BigPink. There were problems with the order and the Man was told to visit a store and send a fax. This fax needed to include a number of things, one of them being the man's social security card. Now the woman claimed the Man (who may or may not have known her) had lost the card but had a letter from the social security office. She swore that the Man was told previously that the letter would suffice. She claims he went to the store and sent the fax.

So I did overtime for a store thats 75 miles away. Did it as a personal favor for my old boss who got promoted and was in charge of another area. This lady's phone was out of warranty by 6 months so I told her we could still replace it but it would be for a $50 fee. She starts doing the standard bitching and moaning and then she threatened to cancel after her contract was up and go to Comcast. So apparently Comcast is doing wireless now. 🙄 I wonder, has anyone else been so retarded that they completely mix up service providers? I know we get the bright ones that come in with a Sprint phone when I am VZW, but to seriously mix up a cable company with a cell phone company? So this customer comes in having 2 phones from a small regional carrier. They want to port to VZW because their regional carrier is no good.

Our basic family plan is only $10 more per month than the local carrier.

She is upset because it costs more. I politely reminded/informed her that she's getting service that will actually work and she can take it anywhere in the country instead of just a 50 or so mile radius around her area. The peak minutes are the same and she's getting better N/W and VZW to VZW options. It really worth more than a $10 difference but she just doesn't get it.

I stick by my notion that these people just shouldn't be allowed to have phones or technology.

Dont you love it when a new hire (completely new to the industry) knows more than you do about a job you have done for going on 2 years? All day yesterday, I was "corrected" in front of customers and told how I could have made a sale better by a guy who has worked here for 2 weeks. 👿 👿
Not to mention the nice discussion we had about RIM vs Palm with him actually saying "trust me, i just got out of training so I KNOW what I am talking about". Ok so i get this call escalated to me...


Customer called in about not being able to get the iphone becuase she was 2 days away from upgrade. Customer is yelling at me and everything because she got an email sent to her son saying that he can upgrade. She kept telling me this over and over and I kept telling her that in 2 days she can get her iphone 3g. Then she asks her son what the email said, per the words from the kids mouth, " Mom the email said I can upgrade on the 17th."


I think here is your sign is due.

So there's this old guy standing near my kiosk all freakin day playing with a Yo-yo. At first he had a yellow one, now he has a red one. He's not very good at it. He doesnt seem to know any cool yo-yo tricks. I have a feeling he might be a pedophile and is using the yo-yo to try and lure kids. He's really starting to freak me out now.

Oh wait, it seems like he just learned how to walk the dog. He's still not very impressive though.

So tonight I actually had a custy aske me for suggestions and ACTUALLY WENT WITH WHAT I SUGGESTED after probing their needs. It was so refreshing to not hear "No, I don't need all that." 😎
