Re: Sprint 8330 or Verizon 8330

I know what you mean about comfort. I've had VZW for the last 11 yrs... I looked at sprint too but stayed, I have a family plan with corp discount & it just worked out better for us that way. I don't know about you but I wouldn't feel comfortable giving up my landline. I've had cells die on me, left it at work, misplaced it, etc. Maybe you're more careful than me, maybe I'm just old ...

Where are you getting $169 a mo? The select unlimited + BB which would be $149 not $169. You don't use or need VPAK/mobile web with a BB. So the select with added 29.99 BB service would work and is basically the equivalent of the sprint simply everything plan - unlim talk, txt & data, still more, but not as much as you posted. Also - do you really need unlim talk, txt? With unlim in ...

Haha - I'll have to tell my husb that. He already has the juke. I just did the dummy order because that was the only way the website let me see all options. He has a juke, not eligible for upgrade yet. He likes the small size:) I am eligible for NE2 so want to upgrade to the BB & will be adding another line for stepson - so I have to change the plan.

Oh - also, if I find we aren't coming close to 1400 and can do 700, can I change plans at any time, no charge? I'm just worried w/stepson added the 700 wont be enough, hence the 1400 plan. He says he doesn't have that many friends out of network but every parent knows how that goes.....

OK - I did a dummy order online & I think this is what I'll need but correct me if I have something wrong: Going to change to family share 3 line (adding stepson who likes to txt & TT GF a LOT but she is VZW as well) Nationwide select FS plan 1400 mins (unlim txt & in calling on all lines, right?) 129.98 Primary - BB Curve with added 29.99 data (unlim) 2nd - ENV2 - with vpak 15.00(unlim data) this ...

Reps - Customer plan help please.....
May 10, 2008, 11:16 AM

So I've searched verizons site but can't find my answer...... Originally I was looking to upgrade to the ENV2 but I really like the BB Curve. Is there a family plan I can use a BB on & 2 regular devices? Or do I need a special seperate BB plan? Currently I have a 2 line family plan 700 mins. We never go over due to almost everyone we know being on VZW. I want the BB, unlim data ...

the 129.99 was the discounted rate through my account online upgrade if I did it right now - so I assume with the NE2 50.00 of it'll be 79.99?

OK - I'll wait. I have been a loyal good paying cus for over 10 years but I don't really need it right this minute so I'll wait. I'm the primary on a family share plan. I think we're the 700 minute so I think I only get $50?? If I renew to a data premium plan will I get $100 instead or does it go by the current plan I'm on? THX!

Early upgrade discount VS NE2

my online account shows I'm eligible for discounted pricing. was interested in the new env2 which shows discounted as 129.99 - my question is, I am up for NE2 in a couple of weeks - will the price be the same or better if I wait? If it's the same I might as well do it now.... Thanks!

I am a customer - not a rep - but I have actually witnessed the obnoxious customer @ the VZ wireless store - almost every time I am in there and I rarely ever am. Being a female customer I just want to comment on the 2 ct earring -It is almost impossible to tell the diff between the "real" deal and a fake diamond without getting up close - and even then it's difficult with a good ...

It's not always the same price in store. I just bought the Samsung 930 - in the store to be nice - cost me $50 which I will get back after rebate (which is a pain in the butt by the way & takes forever). Online you get an instant rebate - no charges at all - no paperwork to fill out - no stamp & no tax & activation still free with 2 yr renewal on ...

Re: Drop calls around Boston

I work in Boston & commute in on 93 from the north....I honestly don't think my phone has ever dropped a call (LG VX-8100) except maybe once or twice in the tunnel. Prior to this I did briefly use a Kyocera POS that dropped calls all the time in my house where my current & prior phone hasn't dropped a single one. I'd get the one u want & try it in those trouble spots. If ...

Sep 7, 2006, 9:31 AM

Obviously I figured that out after viewing the picture of the 3450 - which is not on phonescoop - discussions on this phone made it seem as though the only difference was one had games & other didn't - or one was going to be sold thru Verizon vs another outlet - or whatever when in fact these are 2 completely different phones physically as well - I was just pointing that out.

Bummer.....so the missed call list will never appear on the front like on my 8100? I really like that feature though it's not a deal breaker..... I kind of want to wait & see what else comes out. Any idea how long before I lose my NE2? And does anyone know if the corp discount rate is better than the NE2 anyway? because then it won't matter & I can wait indefinitely.... Like right now on the b2b site ...

LG 8300 & 8600 questions for the VZW experts:)
Sep 6, 2006, 6:39 AM
in the Verizon forum

I currently own the LG 8100 - have been up for NE2 for almost a month. 1st - how long do I have to exercise the NE2? On the 8300 - have they fixed it yet so that missed calls/txt display on the outer screen? I had read that was a problem....any other bugs/issues right now? On the 8600 (i know not released yet but in case someone knows....) are the buttons like that on the razor? ...

Jun 12, 2006, 12:57 PM

I was considering the E815 as my next phone because of the great reviews but think it's a little ugly and don't need all the extras - if they put bluetooth on the 325 that'd be perfect for me:) Hmmmmm - Now not sure what to do.....wait & see what happens? My luck E815 will be discontinued, 325 will go unchanged, and some POS (sorry fans!) like razr will replace E815...what to do what to do....

Can you initiate calls with the flip closed too?

Re: Speaker w/the flip closed......

So looks like only the motos can be answered on speaker with the flip closed? can calls also be initiated that way? Any thoughts on which phone is better - 815/325? By better I mean reception wise/holding a charge/speaker quality - don't need a lot of bells & whistles. Any idea if a new moto is coming out with this feature?

Proof - you are absolutely right in what you say. Truly I didn't appreciate the union until the telecom industry took a turn for the worst. I know for a fact the only reason reason I still have my job is because of protection in our contract. More and more jobs are going overseas and to the cheaper labor states... Currently the Wireless industry as whole is doing quite well - which is why everyone is happy ...

If you are on your 4th phone in 5 months there is a serious problem. As a customer, if I were in your shoes & paid full retail I would be seriously PO. Yes moto made the phone but Verizon has stamped their logo all over it and every other piece of equip the offer - not only that they alter or hinder the equip to their specs. I sincerely believe they are obligated to replace ...

I don't know why you think you're better off without them, not even saying you're 100% wrong because I don't work where you do, but everyone's entitled to their own opinion... Think of it as 2 companies under the same umbrella - which is what they are. Kind of similar to The General Motors umbrella under which Chevrolet, GMC and others fall under. To pay a mechanic at Chevy $35 an hour and try to pay the same job at GMC $15 an hr would not fly. Hence Verizon Wireless employees reaping the benefits of it's predecessors - Verizon Communications (or New England or NY tel, NYNEX, Bell Atlantic ...

It's amusing to me how all the Wireless co reps bash the union and are SO opposed to it. As a Verizon Communications worker & union menber I must ask you - where do you think your oh so fabulous benefits stem from? The core company of course whose wages & benefits were so strongly fought for by the union. 1% of my pay is well worth the return - 13 dollars and change to be ...

You're right = hardly any competition around here for gas companies - oil heat would be a better example I guess because there are many many companies selling home heating oil. Definitely not a "hampster"

This might fit better if the gas company came up with new & improved gas- maybe it's really "energy saving" Fantastic!! - and you had a contract with them - minimum 1 yr - and they told you the only way to get the new gas is to agree to another contract and get the new heater for 500.00 - or don't sign a new contract and buy one for 2500.00......... or if you can find it cheaper from ...

Yes I guess we're all entitled to rant every now & then. I was just wondering if it really changed in case I decide later that I want to upgrade - I don't want someone rolling their eyes in the back of their head thinking I'm one of those whiny demanding customers trying to get something they're not entitled to & then writing about me on this forum :)

This would be fine if they made an exception for advances in technology - you can buy the best phone there is and then 3-6-9 mos later something that wasn't available before that you could really use comes out...new customers get it say for 80 bucks but they want you to pay over 400 bucks. If my current phone could take an update & get these advances - I personally would have kept an old phone I have ...

I disagree about the "exceptional" for an upgrade...only because I was browsing through my local Verizon wireless store this past November - I just asked them to check my account because Verizon wireless had been calling me every week for a good month at least to upgrade (I avoided the call till finally curiousity got the best of me) and I wanted to know why when I knew neither line was up for renewal till sometime next year - ...

I don't really think Verizon is out to "get me". I know they have to profit - I also know wireless & data are their big money makers.... Gasoline stays the same - it's gas - you put it in your car - that's it. There's not new gas coming out that streams video though..... there are new cars with bells & whistles which you can trade your car in for - and negotiate with many different dealers and ...

Almost agree with you Iheartsprint. The customers do keep you in business though - with the activation of new service & refrls to friends & family to get new service & renewing current service..... Maybe the problem is the separation of sales/serice. If I go into a Sprint store looking to change wireless carriers (being a new sprint customer I guess I would be a sale....) As a customer I think it doesn't & shouldn't hurt to ask.....especially if a new phone with new technology comes out - that was not available ar the time you purchased the current phone. There is a difference bewteen wanting to upgrade & just wanting a trade. Not to mention upgrading to a feature packed phone generates more money for VZ Wireless if the customer then subscribes to Vcast - just an example... I have done this ...

I am not a sprint customer - but since we are all the same - I guess I'm entitled to respond. I was checking this out because was considering changing.....I think customer "service" has turned into customer "sales". I've worked in the communications industry for 9 yrs & it's not just wireless.
