I can't stand customers who sit there and think we make some measly $10.00/ hour. a customer told me to get a better paying job when she figured out that i have REAL 2ct princess cut diamond earrings in my ear (yes i'm a str8 guy no jokes)and have a nice car she just shut up. why do they think they can be-little me and think i should jump for them since she wants a tier 5 plan and a bt package i just don't get it. don't they understand that now matter who they are or what the spend a month with there old carrier i'm not going to act like some 3rd party ( no offenese) and go through hopes for an act. as you can tell i had a customer who was porting from t-mobile and wanted me to sell here the 8300 for free after rebate because wirefly was goi...

Let me put it plain and simple for your little head.
Here we have a rude sales rep who hates doing his job.

your working in a customer service job market. Your job requires you to work direct with customers. And, yes, you are going to get customers to talk bad to you, treat you like crap, but, you also get customers that treat you like a king. This all comes with the job you are in. Don't think you are alone here, grocery workers, retail workers, anybody that deals direct with the customer gets to put up with the same crap, and they are all told that it sucks, but part of the job. Why do the reps that work in cellular think they are any different and do not have to put up with annoying customers. I used to work in the grocery store, and we had our share of crabby customers, and it sucked.

If you dont like putting up with the annoying cust...

ONCE AGAIN i don't hate my job, i hate the people who walk in who think i "owe them something". i live in northern va in fairfax county the 2nd richest county in the counrty and the people who come in here are great. then we get those who feed a silver spoon and think i'm some food bagger at mcd's. i don't think i don't have to deal with them, my point was i hate customers like that who think i make some little money and i'm uneduacted when i have a college degree and make over 60k a year.
in a month i'm not going to deal with the "public" in a sense, i'm moving to the goverment team with vzw. from what i hear the clients that i have are more down to earth and resonable.

But, keep in mind, your job requires you to work with customers direct, which means you will have to put up with crap customers, it is part of your job, so there is no reason to complain about it as you should know that you will have the crap customer here and there. If you love your job, then you should not have to come on a forum and complain about doing part of the job you love... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Your right just take crap from every person that is stupid and bottle it up. Thats sound about right, no need to vent, just keep it to yourself and I'm sure that won't start carrying over to everybody else you deal with. Yes its part of the job, but whats wrong with telling somebody about it or venting that way you can let the stupidity go instead of thinking about it the rest of the day.

what some jerks on this board. "its part of your job...blah blah blah, he must hate his job...blah blah"

he said he loves his job, he came on here to complain about a crappy customer, so instead of beating the guy up, sit back and wonder how much more he'd love his job if we didnt have to deal with stupid customers...

? so he's not allowed to complain? He did his job, kept his cool, now the situation is over and he can complain if he wants. I can guarantee every rep in this forum has a certain customer they remember by name and prey they never see them again, I know i do. Now if one of those customers came in i would be respectful and help them because it is my job, but come on the first thing i do when they leave is make fun of them ๐Ÿคฃ

No...you obviously didn't read correctly. It's a rude customer that thinks sales reps or customer service reps are all people with IQ's so low that we can't do anything else. Why does everyone blame the employees? Doesn't anyone realize that some customers are rather stupid too? Re-read the story before making some dumbas* comment like you did.

I loathe the wirefly's of the world. Whore out a product becuase they know they don't have to service the customer. Hey, that is business though. I just point out (what you probably did) about that very fact. If they still buy online and then come back for help, now I hold fast to charging the customer fees for service. I still reiterate to them the fact that these fees are included with activation through me...but I will not refuse them service. I just charge an appropriate fee. If the customer doesn't pay it...oh well, I direct them to an hour drive to the nearest direct store.

Anyway, kudos on still landing the deal. That is what it is all about...getting the arrogant or difficult customers and still landing them. Of course...

thank you......thank you all who backed me up. as a rep we take a lot of crap esp. from jerks who buy at best buy, wife fly, iphonic and certain other 3rd partys. then you have the customers who come from t-mobile or cingular who where treated like babies and got what ever they want because they cried and want vzw to do the same thing. i don't hate my job at all i love it, but it makes you wonder how far people will go feel like there always right. as a rep who is a vet. at my store i tend to deal with a lot of b.s. and get called by other reps to ask what would i do in certain situations . my first question is always " how did the customer talk to you".

This might be jerk-like an I am sorry for that. Since I don't know you, I no way of substnatiating any kind of inference that might come from what I say.

That being said, people will treat how they perceive you. Very plain and simple. You were treated in that manner because the person sensed the same general demeanor as someone who is a $10 an hour schmoe. This is my assumption.

Further, if youy have the 2ct bling on your ear, you're screaming to the customer that you don't intend to be totally professional. Before you jump from your chair, I have no doubt that you are professional. However, in the short time of a trandaction with a customer, they will 1st decide visually if you meet some inane personal perception of a professional.

i don't take anything you said as an insult, you might be right you could be the ear rings but thats me, when the lady walked yup to me i put my hand out to shake her hand and she looked at me like i was trying to rob her.
the way she talked to me was crazy i couldn't believe, she treated me like i was a monkey and she had a bananna in her hand and i should jump for it.
when i sent her to the tech department to do the phone book transfer ( i got tired of her attuitde) she treated them better then me and i couldn't believe it.
i don't have a chip on my shoulder to be honest i'm a straight forward sales rep who tells the truth. i get customers like her all the time but dealing with her that day just took it to the next level.

I am a customer - not a rep - but I have actually witnessed the obnoxious customer @ the VZ wireless store - almost every time I am in there and I rarely ever am.

Being a female customer I just want to comment on the 2 ct earring -It is almost impossible to tell the diff between the "real" deal and a fake diamond without getting up close - and even then it's difficult with a good fake. I personally assume anything I'm eyeballing that looks like it's 2 cts + is fake - especially in an earring and especially if the rest of the persons attire doesn't fall in line with that price point. For example - woman wearing lee jeans, payless shoes, fake tiffany bracelet, knockoff purse - hmmmm - is that a real 3 ct ring? I doubt it.....

I'm no...

well, I hope you did not buy that 2 ct earring at wholesale in a alley in the market in chicago with a guy with his coat open showing you his showroom.. LOL...

And from a guy perspective, it does not look or sound good when you are telling us that wives are asking you for dressing tips for their husbands...maybe that is why people are assuming things when they see you...

lol..... i wouldn't trust a guy with his coat open in chicago....no i didn't i live in the va,md,dc area and there is a jewlery store that sells almost everything you can think of from loose diamonds to custom made stuff for wholesale usually about 60% cheaper then places like kay and jared.
the comment about the wifes is simply i'm a straight 23y/o male, when i buy my clothes for work i tend to get that is different from my co-workers that makes me stand out (nothing pink) just usually silk ties or pinn strip pants.....sean john does everything for me i just get the credit ๐Ÿ™‚
