Early upgrade discount VS NE2

customerX

May 4, 2008, 7:00 PM
my online account shows I'm eligible for discounted pricing. was interested in the new env2 which shows discounted as 129.99 - my question is, I am up for NE2 in a couple of weeks - will the price be the same or better if I wait? If it's the same I might as well do it now....

Thanks!

wait for your NE2 discount. it would be stupid not to, especially since you said it is within a couple weeks. you get a 50/100 discount. that is like throwing away money.

NE2 is only for the primary phone on your account. I believe it's a $100 discount as opposed to a $50 discount for any other phones on your account which may be eligibile for upgrading. Wait for your new every 2 for the best discount. But if you upgrade one of your lines now, you can always keep the NE2 line for something else coming out.

Wrong!! You will not be able to use the NE2 if you use your upgrade now.

Dont use your upgrade now because its only 50 off, wait the extra weeks and get the full 100 off using the NE2

NE2 is for primary lines only, and you get $50 if you have a calling plan of $34.99 to $74.98 before taxes and features. $74.99 or higher gets you $100 off. Secondary lines are eligible for discounted pricing equal to new customer pricing on phones only. PDA's are 2 year contract price plus an Advanced Device Credit if you qualify. The discounted pricing you are seeing now is the Annual Upgrade, which you must be primary line, on a 2 year contract which you have be on at least a year, and have a calling plan of $49.99 or higher before features and taxes.

the ne2 is 50.00 if you are on a plan between 34.99 and 79.98 and 100.00 for 79.99 or higher. and this will be taken off the price of 129.99 that you currently see online but not if that date has not passed. if you are on a family plan it is the access on the primary line alone not any of the 2nd lines. example 700 min basic 60.00 primary 1400 min basic 80.00 primary. if you do the upgrade today you will reset your ne2 clock 20 months from the day you choose to upgrade. so its definately better to wait especially if its only a few weeks away. if you really want the phone now i would sugguest to call into cs be very friendly and see if the rep is willing to have their sup change the date. i do it for customers if they have good payment histor...

OK - I'll wait. I have been a loyal good paying cus for over 10 years but I don't really need it right this minute so I'll wait.
I'm the primary on a family share plan. I think we're the 700 minute so I think I only get $50??

If I renew to a data premium plan will I get $100 instead or does it go by the current plan I'm on?

THX!

goes by the current plan you are on for the NE2. also, that $129.99 you see online is the 2yr new contract price minus the $50 instant rebate. be advised that NE2 pricing will vary

the 129.99 was the discounted rate through my account online upgrade if I did it right now - so I assume with the NE2 50.00 of it'll be 79.99?
