Drop calls around Boston
I'm up for my NE2 and am looking to upgrade from the LG VX4500. However, I have add some never-fail call drops that I'm hoping was just the phone's fault. First, WB on Storrow Drive right next to the Hatch Shell (probably geographically the center between Boston & Cambridge) and second, N on Rt. 93 at Spot Pond. All I've ever gotten from Verizon Reps is a shrug and 'must be a bad hand-off' (have they gotten like stereo sales people from the 70's?). I travel often in eastern Mass. and southern NH. Does anyone else have this problem? Has a new phone solved it? Which one? All I really want from a phone is solid phone performance, and the occasional picture.

I work in Boston & commute in on 93 from the north....I honestly don't think my phone has ever dropped a call (LG VX-8100) except maybe once or twice in the tunnel. Prior to this I did briefly use a Kyocera POS that dropped calls all the time in my house where my current & prior phone hasn't dropped a single one. I'd get the one u want & try it in those trouble spots. If it drops calls just exchange w/in the 15 days - if the phones continue to drop calls it may be the coverage & not the phone. There is this one tiny specific area in my town where no verizon phone gets svc - but sprint does - so it could just be a bad spot.
