I am just curious, how much did you make last year? In my market, many reps are making more than the manager with multpile raises a year plus far superior health benefits. The company is trying to save jobs by cutting back, the alternative is more jobs cuts. choose

Maybe our network team in my market gave me some bad info. Not sure how it would hand off smoothly between the two networks. It would be like a Gait phone switching between tdma and gsm smoothly. Doesnt happen

I have to assume that Atlanta is UMTS. With that said the device will not hand off from UMTS to GSM, its a hard drop. If you are on GSM it will hold until you end the call and then switch to UMTS, going the other way it will drop the call.

A few questions.
How many minutes do you use during the day, how many do you use from 7pm-9pm and how many text messages do you send each month? You are on the old TDMA system so you may qualify for bonus mintues which means you could go to a lower plan and get more mintues.

I have had atleast 3 customer refused warranty exchange due to the fact they changed the face plate on the equipment. In doing this they have voided the manufacturers warranty on this product.

There is a chance this is market specific. I know if someone comes into my store and migrates to orange we migrate them back to blue if they happen to return the equipment. Especially if they are still under contract on the blue side. You get different answers from different people but this is what we do in my market

The bluetooth is only for voice on the Rokr, I believe its because its a Moto. There are other phones that play mp3 files, they are just not Itunes and they can be played through BT

but the thing is there features do not work everywhere, their data map is about a third of their voice. Which would lead be to believe much of the coverage is roaming parters or analog.

One of the main problem with these phones are they do not see the GSM 850 band. Its great if you live in a 1900 only area but in most cases this phone only allows you half the coverage. Also some markets are totally doing away with TDMA coverage and roaming aggrements

Yes, this can be done. There will be 36.00 fee for this but it can be done. We have to do this a couple times here at the store. We iniate the call with the port. auth group and they will handle the rest of the port for you without having to get any ETF from cingular.

many of the software loads are not in non cinglar phones. As a store manager i would love not to have to sell a customer a phone at a discounted phone. WE make NOTHING on equipment. We lose on average 90 plus. So I think its more of wanting the customer to have a good experience with their phone vs wanting to sell them a new pone.
