...Are you guys having trouble activating the 3G iPhones today? I work for Sprint, and had 3 ppl so far come into my store to switch to Sprint and get the Instinct because theyre saying something about the iTunes servers going down today on launch date?

Ya it was down for a while earlier, it was ITunes because millions of people in 22 different countries are using Itunes to activate it so there is a bit of a back up there

So someone waited in line for several hours or more, couldnt use the phone immediately, then switched to another carrier? Do you take this act on the road or is more of a local show?

Oooh okay. 22 countries huh? wow thats amazing. I thought the MobileMe update thing was on a different server? But one on the guys was waiting outside a store for a few days and I think he said he was 3rd in line and he was hyped up to get it, but waited 4 hours trying to activate it. He just got fed up and went a few blocks down the street and signed up. I felt bad for the guy, he was all scruffy and red-eyed. I offered him some soda and chips, he was pretty happy. Even though its churn, I called him up and told him its not too late to switch back. I dunno were all human right? Waiting days to get something and find out you have to wait a little longer. I hope he does whats right...

LMAO, I didnt even know sprint was still around! The last time I saw a sprint commercial it had that chick from Murphy Brown in it.

Think about the world lunch of this phone...and how many billion new itunes customer and iphone customers trying to use it at once... no sh$t that itunes will go down.
