Save Money.......Do Not buy from Agents or Corporate Stores

TenMidgits

Most people erroneously believe they shoould buy their Wireless service from Wieless stores. that is not the case and there is really no reason to do so unless you like spending more for the same thing.

Best Buy and Wal Mart offer phones and accessories far less money. For instance try getting a Razor for $69 witha 2 year contract at any Corporate or wireless store. Thats Wal Marts price. All the accessories are made in China n matter where you buy them.

Yeah the argument in opposition will state you get individual customer service at a corporate or wireless store. You DO NOT need this customer serice execpt on the phone. Once you sign the CARRIER will serve you. The phone manufacturer will help with the phone. You really do not need...

I have never in 8 years had any phone fail due to any non phone branded accessory attached to it. Scare tactics are the best selling device for any product. Many people buy into the fear factor. I don't. I had two phones replaced and was never asked for a list of accessories and places of purchase.

When have I said buy higher priced accessories just because they are higher priced? When have I said you must buy OEM because AM will void your warranty. YOU brought that up as a spin because you couldn't answer my questions. You brought it up as sales spin when in fact it is a manufacturer issue across MANY DIFFERENT industries.

If you are too stupid to understand that AM comes in many different quality levels then I don't know what to say. I have samples of cheap AM in my store so customers can see and feel the difference of why my accessories are more than the local truck stop. And if they buy multiple accessories my prices are lower than Best Buy and almost as cheap as Wal-Mart with a longer warranty.

I don't need an excuse. I am a wireless customer. I find the employees and sales reps postings humorous and a reflection of the industry as it id represented in many surveys.

I am not a concerned customer. I'm beyond that.
If you want a club member website start one. this is a public site and as such yes even " morons" and "idiots" and all the other colorful names you thoughtfully adorn me with will not sway my opinion and only proves a long held standard of debate. When one is losing a debate, One resorts to personal insult. Any ...

I'm sitting in my office, in a wireless store. That used car sales trailer on the back lot must get boring. Tired of taking weekly payments from the credit roaches of the world are you? AOL kick you out of the chatrooms for hitting on too many 13 year olds?

I feel ya Tex. I know that I am stooping to a lower level when I argue with people on here, but it is just so frustrating that I work so damn hard to make the customers happy and do my job to the best of my ability. I used to refer customers to this website, but due to people like this I can't even do that anymore. Wonder how Rich feels about that? I read this post this morning and first thing that I did was report it to the moderator. Im sick of this crap. His opinion SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE POSTED! I don't care if technically he is talking about cingy or not, it's lies, ignorant, and just plain bull@hit that this guy posts and im sick of it.

I'm not saying you can't post here, but why? Did you already do everything else you've ever wanted to do? Traveled the world? Flown your own airplane? Is there nothing else on your to-do lists? Just curious, since you seem to have nothing better to do then assume things about our jobs. Apparently there is more to life than selling phones, you can jump onto a wireless forum and post endlessly about how easy your life is. Congratulations on all your success, if it really exists. Answer the question spin-o-matic. You say this is sales spin when it is actually the manufacturer making this claim.

What is funny is this claim is done by manufacturers across many industries. It isn't sales spin, it is manufacturers protecting themselves from cheap AM product.

Auto
Wireless
Appliances

Just because they didn't determine AM effected YOUR phone TM doesn't mean anything.

And not sure why this has even come up. I carry pretty much all AM accessories.

My argument about quality stems from construction of the CLA and cases. User replaceable fuses vs. non, cases made with higher quality plastic and leather stiching. There is a difference, and as a customer I recommend you check.

faceplates have always voided the warranty since it's an obvious change in the appearance of the phone. However, I can't really see how they could ever tell what type of charger you've used on your phone, though I wouldn't be surprised if they had a way.

The fools I have encountered were the ones who sent their phone to the manufacturer WITH THE CULPRIT ACCESSORY. For example, phone is fried with a cheapo AM battery and they send the battery with the phone to the service department.

At least if your phone is fried AND you use something AM don't admit it and hope they will overlook it.

Hmmmm,

Wrong again, but what else is new.

Advantages of buying from a true Cingular location:

Free phone memory exchange ($10 value, Wal-Mart and Best Buy don't even have these machines)

Free SIM replacement ($25 value PER OCCURRANCE)

LIFETIME Warranty on accessories (May not be a corporate policy but I know MANY agents who offer this)

Better accessory pricing (than Best Buy, Wal-Mart has VERY CHEAP accessories but for the better grade of cases, etc check them out and compare. I would be happy to elaborate on Occasionally Wal-Mart gets OEM CLA, but that is rare) $34.99 for a case and CLA (or CLA and HF, etc.) is a great price for premium accessories.

So, lets say you want to keep your phone for more than a year (most li...

BUT WHAT'S THE POINT!!!!

I'm all for a debate. Don't get me wrong, the go-rounds we have here are sometimes fun but this was pointless.

I mean: RadioShack (hold your disdain) will always have superior wireless activations because the old-timers will always start their search (for anything basically) there.

Indirects will always have walk-ins because most of them sent out adverts yammering about free phone-free activation-free car charger-free what's-a-ma-jiggers (see I knew what a jigger was).

Coporate stores will get their numbers.... Okay, maybe they'll just get complaints... No, just kidding, they should take a note from some of the indirects who have a "how to hook a customer/subscriber" handbook.

Was this the ...

Sorry Nice try though.

Phone memory exchange!!! LO grasping at straws there. Who need that and how often?

Free SIM replacement? Another useless advantage to only a very very small number if any of people.

Lifetime warranties on accessories means nothing. No one keeps phones nearly that long. The quality is just not that different. Its all made in China from chargers to cases

Go into a Cingular store and price accessories. I need not even reply to that falsehood. As for quality. A case is a case. Leather is leather. Unless you have Gucci labels. Body Glove is cheap.

You are assuming ALL those things will go wrong in your price comparison when the simple fact is MOST will save all of that $55 and will never need it. But they ...
