A630 and Sidekick2

Maybe for some or your guru's who already know. Between the A630 and Sidekick2 what seems to be the superior phone with what has been released so far. Does anyone know any of this? What are some advantages and disadvantages?

T-Zones Vs Internet

I just got the Nokia 7610 (sweet Phone) and signed up to T-Mobile. I got the $4.99 unlimited T-Zones and paid for 300 Text Messages a month. Plus the unlimited Multimedia messaging.

I set up my POP email to be received through the phone and also use its web browsers (there are two - Standard and Opera).

My question is this:

Is all this covered under what I have -- or will I get zonked for major usage? I notice a "G" light up (probably for GPRS) for some applications (Pop email and Browser) -- is the covered under T-ZONES?

I asked a friend who works at T-Mobile and he thinks I should get the $20 unlimited package (damn this is getting expensive), but he was not sure about my question.

Let me know if anyone knows anymor...

V600 upgrade

I've been with T-mobile 22 months, and called about an upgrade from my v60g, to the v600, and they told me the phone would be $349.00, with my current plan. T-mobile web site has it at $299.00, and now Amazon has it for $99.00 after rebate and one year contract with T-mobile, and your plan can be as low as $29.99 to get it at that price. So why would it cost me $349.00??? I love my current cell, and love my service through T-mobile. I have the "Talk and Text" plan for $29.99 (which is not available anymore). I used to have Sprint because i got a 20% discount through my employer, but the phones service was terrible in my neighborhood, and switched to T-mobile in Oct 2002. I do not expect to get the phone for free, i understand that, but i mig...

my review of the D415

got this phone yesterday from t-mobile... pretty impressed with it so far

pros:
-as most have said, the screen looks amazing...best i've ever seen
-call clarity is excellent
-great reception/signal strength... better if not at least as good as the v205 (my previous phone)
-camera is great...looks really good on the phone, and on the computer screen... at 640x480, 'normal' quality mode looks about the same quality as the old v205 pics, and there are 2 other better quality settings to choose from, as well as 'economy', which i havent tried yet, but is lower than 'normal'... there are 4 total photo size options to choose from as well...the multi-shot function is really neat too... the gray/sepia/negative features are neat too, althoug...

Phone Upgrades

Does anyone know when either the Samsung D415 or the Moto V600 will be available for existing customers to purchase by calling T-Mobile? I called yesterday and 2 people said they were reading right in front of them that it would be available today. When I called back today, no one seemed to have a clue what I was talking about.

Thanks!!

Thank You TMoto & jf343 for your help...

& jf, I understand how upset you are about the insurance thing I felt the same way and even considered leaving t-mo for it...but if something goes wrong with the d415 there is always a one year warranty on the phone from samsung! The t-mo rep. I spoke to actually told me to get my handset insured through my auto insurance company!!! I understand the system was too easy to scam (I know people who did it and are still doing it with sprint) but I've always had insurance on previous phones through best buy and it came in handy...I guess we'll see what happens 😢

Thanks again!!

V600 and Multiple Exchange Program

I have a defective V300, this will be my 4th replacement phone. I qualify for the Multiple Exchange Program. I was offered a new Samsung e715 as a free replacement. I'd like to stick with Motorola since I have all the chargers and accessories already. Retentions does NOT have the V600 yet so they said they do not know if the V600 will be offered as a free replacement for defective V300's in their Multiple Exchange Program.

Does anyone know if, or when, the V600 will be available to customer service/retentions? Any chance when they receive it will it be offered as a replacement for defective V300 phones to individuals qualifying for the Multiple Exchange Program?

If anyone can help me please let me know. I really don't know what...

T-Zones (is it worth it?)

This is kinda a silly question, but does anyone use the T-Zones from T-Mobile. I know about 15 people off the top of my head who have T-Mo but know T-Zones. I want to use the D415 to get my hotmail, weather, stuff like that. Also, I want to be able to send and receive pictures on my new Samsung. Do you guys think it is worth it and how much is it?

Coverage Question

I'm new to GSM networks and I was wondering if you have a t-mobile, would it operate off of a at&t wireless GSM tower or just t-mobile towers?

V600 as upgrade

I've called customer care 5 times about upgrading to a V600. Yesterday I was told, yes, it would be available - tomorrow - as an upgrade! I called today and was told, no way, V600 will not be as an upgrade. Anyone know what's really happening?

Important Question

Hopefully someone hear can answer this question. The Samsung D415 was recently released through Tmobile. It has been advertised for months as having video recording capabilities. But if you go to Tmobile's website and Samsung's website, it doesn't say anything about recording video clips in the info about the phone. I noticed that on Samsung's website, under the info on the D410, it mentions video clip recording capability. So is there a difference between the D410 and the D415? Can the D410 record video while the D415 can't?

New Phone Release

T-Mobile is terrible. They released the V600 & the D415 on Monday but all the meant is that they shipped them out on Tuesday. Why not ship them Tuesday and announce the release date for next Monday. Also, how can anyone with an existing contract buy a phone from T-Mobile's website? Is it possible? I don't like the alternative which is ordering by phone.

Exciting News.

This will be a very good week for T-Mobile. The release of the Motorola V600 and the Samsung D415.

BUT! There is also another very exciting announcement for all of my PDA/mobile fans... I am very excited and you will be too.

I can't tell you what but expect it this week from a notable manufacturer.

*oozes with suspense*
