Important Question

Hopefully someone hear can answer this question. The Samsung D415 was recently released through Tmobile. It has been advertised for months as having video recording capabilities. But if you go to Tmobile's website and Samsung's website, it doesn't say anything about recording video clips in the info about the phone. I noticed that on Samsung's website, under the info on the D410, it mentions video clip recording capability. So is there a difference between the D410 and the D415? Can the D410 record video while the D415 can't?

Actually, when I looked at this phone unders the "Phones" of this webpage it describes the D415 as having Video Clip Recording capability. I hope that helps.

Well that helps a little. When I found out it was possible that the D415 might not record video, I searched Google for "samsung D415". Every website I went to that offered it through Tmobile, said it had video recording capabilities. The fact that on Tmobile.com and Samsung.com it DOESN'T mention video recording, still bothers me. Anybody know for sure if it can record video clips?

nope, I think you best solutions would be to go into a T-Mobile and test the phone yourself...for your own piece of mine...thats what I would do at least

I tried calling a Tmobile store but nobody would answer. Then, when they finally did answer, the woman I spoke to said she doesn't know and hasn't gotten a chance to use one. Not even the employees know. Does anyone here own a D415? Or does anyone know for sure if it can record video clips? Thanks

Have you tried actually going into the store? Or do they not yet have the phone available?

Yes!! The D415 does have video recording. Not sure on length but probably 10 sec. As far as I know the D410 is just the European version. The D415 is available at my store and available for upgrade through customer care today. (Jul 2😎

Thanks for responding. I'm glad to hear it has video recording. Just out of curiousity, how long of a clip can you record and is the quality good? I'm so excited to get this phone. 😁

Yes the D415 can record video clips. I played with one shortly today (we just got them in) and I sold 2.
Go to your local store and give it a test drive.

Yeah, I went into the store but all they had was the dummy phone. They didn't have an actual working one. They didn't even have a sticker next to the phone describing its features. That's why I'm hoping someone here can help me because I've literally tried everything to get an answer.

This sort of issue bothers me. Does any t-mobile associate know the importance of product knowledge. You guys rely on us to know. It is our duty. Just send me an e-mail when you have a spacific question.

From the PDF user's manual for the D-415:

the camera screen.
1. When the camera turns on, adjust the image by rotating
the camera module and aiming it at the subject.
2. Press the Record soft key to start recording.
3. When you are finished, press the Stop soft key.
Or, the phone will automatically stop when the recording
time expires.
4. Press the Save soft key. The video is saved.
5. Press the Next soft key to choose from the following
