got this phone yesterday from t-mobile... pretty impressed with it so far

pros:
-as most have said, the screen looks amazing...best i've ever seen
-call clarity is excellent
-great reception/signal strength... better if not at least as good as the v205 (my previous phone)
-camera is great...looks really good on the phone, and on the computer screen... at 640x480, 'normal' quality mode looks about the same quality as the old v205 pics, and there are 2 other better quality settings to choose from, as well as 'economy', which i havent tried yet, but is lower than 'normal'... there are 4 total photo size options to choose from as well...the multi-shot function is really neat too... the gray/sepia/negative features are neat too, althoug...

If the phone is closed, and a call comes in, hit the button and talk, But if you make a call and the phone slides shut, then it hangs up, that really sucks. talk end should be controlled by the buttons, not the slider.

the slider doesnt seem sensitive enough to allow that to happen with great frequency...plus there's always the option that disables the slider to answer/end calls.... you can also make a call without opening the slider.

I have played with the D415 and I like it, even though I am no fan of the slider form factor. The screen resolution is awesome, very clear pictures, loud ringtones.

My only qualm is the thickness of the phone and it seems a bit fragile.

Lets say for instance you are driving in your car and you hit a bump, inadvertantly causing the phone to slide shut... there goes your phone call.

I like the Motorola V600 better.

Fragile, at the price, is not a word that inspires confidence.

From my experience I see the slider as not so practical for everyday life desighn. I hate to see what they will look like by december. Sure it is cool and loded with toys that will be fun for the first two weeks but for the price it does seem like it is missing something.
