LG V VX-9800

i have bitpim i have im too 3gp converter i have a data cable with a memory card and reaader i have mpegable can someone PLEASE GIVE ME STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO PUT VIDEO ON THE PHONE PLEASE I REALLY WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR HELP IM A NEWBE WHO IS LOST 😢

Has anyone noticed a drop in signal, after switching to the 9800? I recently switched to the V, after a number of years on Motorolas (V60, e815).

In Charlotte, signal strength was never an issue and the Motorolas were always up to the task. My new V tends to get better 1x signal than EV-DO, and Charlotte is pretty well built out for EVDO.

Any ideas? Or do I have a suspect V on my hands?

I just recently switched from an 8100 to a 9800 and I have an sd card with a bunch of videos on it. Well, when I tried to play one of the videos it says "Video clip is not available". Now this only happens to the ones that I put on there. Not the videos i actually took from the phone, those play!

I searched the forum to see if its already been brought to ppls attention, but couldnt' find it! Any idea why it does this and is there a way to fix it!??

Is there a way to turn the backlight all the way off while on the phone? It dims but doen not shut off all the way after a bit like my old phone did. Also looking to do the same for the main screen while on speaker phone.

I am trying to convert some videos from i tunes so i can play them on my 9800. When it converts, it gives an error and does not convert all the way. Is there something im doing wrong? Can you not convert from i tunes? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

I use a Sandisk mini SD 1GB card as my source to load mp3z, movies, sounds, and etc. on it. I have nothing in my card, it has been formatted, but everytime I load mp3z (I've tried loading different amounts like 1 song at a time, 10 songs, 30 songs, etc.) and once it's been copied unto the SD card (I even tried loading up to LESS THAN 512mb on my 1GB!) I take it out and put it into my vx9800. I then try to open the mp3 folder and the phone just restarts. I'm pretty sure a lot of other people have this same problem, has anyone encountered this as well and found a way, ANY WAY, to fix this so the phone doesn't restart when trying to open up my mp3z??? Please help, it's getting frustrating and making this phone less and less desirab...

I have the VX9800, with a USB cable and the Bitpim software. Has anyone else had trouble with the software not detecting the phone? If so please help.

My phone also has a 512MB memory card installed.

I can only get about 200 songs on my 1GB card in the mp3 format...is this normal. Because I bought the biggest card for this phone figuring I would be able to fit a bunch of songs on it. I am using the sync software that came with the phone through windows media player and they are formating to mp3...can I make them smaller in any way to fit more on the card. And also is there a way to adjust the output because some of my tunes with a lot of bass come through very distorted on playback.

Ok, so I have the LG 8300 and a 9800. With the 8300 I can send an MMS with a 30 sec cut of an MP3 from my email and save it as a ringtone. On the 9800, can't figure out how to do it. Any ideas?

I have heard people talking about updating their phones every month or so. How do you go about doing that? I am not talking about the update where you go to the Verizon store. Is that the update everyone is talking about? If not, is there something on the phone I should be looking for to update the software?

I recently saw an ad for a 30 day free trial of VZ Navigator for the 9800. Has anybody used this before and is it good as a gps you see in a car?

I found a 9800 on a park bench in Los Angeles yesterday and I'm not sure what to do with it. 😢
Is there a way to hook it up with Verizon?
Should I try to sell it on ebay or just throw it in the trash? 😲
It will probably be flagged as lost if I just take it in to a store to try to hook it up. Is there a way to do a master reset with it or hose it or something, so I can hook it up? 😛

I can't get bitpim to recognize my phone at all when it was just working fine yesterday. Can someone please help me with this problem? I am using the new 9.03 version of Bitpim. Also when I was putting ringtones on my phone yesterday with Bitpim it worked fine but when I went to check them under tunes & tones it would restart the phone. Does anyone know how to fix this also? Thanks for you help.

And I was looking at the vx8100 which is basically the same phone with out the key bored, and I'm looking at it and it has V cast Music on it. Well I bought my "V" In December of last year..so its somewhat an "original" and I was wondering if there is a firmware update to make it V cast Music compatible.

oka so ive had this phone since it was new (oct.) and i gotta tell you its changed my life a little it is the ultimate device to have my entire life is on my phone if i was ever without this thing id freak out, but ultimently im unhappy with tthe phone because of two things it DOSENT TAKE CONTINIOUS VIDEO which is bull because it has an exapandable card and takes a higher rezolution vid that you cant even send anyway i called lg and they said it was limited by the carrier(verizon) i thought that was bull because the samsung takes continous video u can never get truth out of a rep from either company the other thing is memory which isant the worst thing i had a 1 gig card in it and had trouble saving pics with it sometimes also i just bought ...

I just got this phone last week and it had the v-cast music option on it. A few days ago i started having a problem where the receiver wouldn't pick up any sound. I decided to reset the phone (which didn't help). A few hours later it started working again and has been fine since.

However, after resetting the phone (settings>system>security) I no longer have the vcast menu on my phone. I spoke with a rep and was told that it needs to be flashed at the store but they're not offering that at this time. It's on software version 5 (T98VZW05).

What i'm wondering is, is this really a vcast phone? On the sales site it is listed as v-cast enabled and it came to me that way but there's no flash available and it doesn't list the 9800 or ...

My ringer volume seems to be pretty low, does anyone know of any non complicated ways to make the ringer louder?

I live in lower Wisconsin, where everyone who has verizon is almost always on their "extended network". I am seriously looking at purchasing the LG VX9800, but a big factor to me is the ability to use mobile web. Can i use it on the extended network?

Is there an easier way to access Comcast Email? I have comcast.net listed in my favorites folder on the phone and when the site comes up it asks if you want to use their Lite Home page which I choose yes. However it takes a good 10 or more minutes just to get to the email section and pull an email up. The phone takes forever to pull the info up. I am sure Comcast doesnt have a website suitable for mobile phones but geeez it takes forever! Meanwhile my AOL and Yahoo mail comes right up with no waiting!
