I have the V710 and I can copy over an MP3 to use as my ringtone. Can the LG VX-9800 do the same?

I need some major help here. I have been wanting to put movies on my phone, but I have no idea how to do it. All I can do so far is put music on through the mini sd card. Can anyone please help me?

Hey! Well I was just wondering if you could use the voice recorder and record whatever... and then send that sound file to yourself in a multi-media message.. and then when you get the message you could open it up and save the sound file in a folder and then use it as a ring tone? my friend has the LG VX 8300 and he can do that so I was just wondering if you could do that with the 9800?

I was reading through some of the threads and it seems that you know all the loops around the VX9800. I just got one this week and wanted to try and put some movies on my 1 gig card. I already have about 227 songs in there and have also converted some of those songs into ringtones. I was wondering if you could please help me with all you know the 9800. What programs do I need to see movies on my LG VX9800?

Hi everyone. I've got the 9800 and it's better than my wildest dreams. The one question I still have is what software can I use to break up movies? I was watching an hour in and got a call. Then I had to start the movie over and FF forever. Can someone help guide me in the right direction to split avi's?

is it necessary 2 have both the usb cable cord and the card reader?

Can someone turn off their V, take off the battery and tell me the color of their circular sticker on their phone and on their battery? It can be found in between the connectors where the battery and phone meet.
I know that when it gets wet red x's are supposed to appear. I just wanted to make sure both stickers were just plain white before....

I just wanted to pull up a new thread and hopefully keep it up front page to see if anyone knew anything new about the vx9900 besides the fact that it is FCC approved and the leak said it would be out sept 4. My question is if it is supposed to be released on Sept 4th why would the FCC pictures not be released to the public from the FCC until November? ANy info would be appreciated. Thanks

I just picked up this phone and I was curious to see how long people initially charged the phone or if it even mattered. Also, I picked up the Vcast option but the verizon reps told me nothing about what is covered/additional fees. What can I do with vcast and not get charged extra? Internet I know, but IM, video, etc?

Why is it that the website has two dif 9800's listed when you look for a phone? I just got one and i was wondering if they were dif. and had dif. features or they were the same...please let me know..also what is the newest software version on this phone and how do you tell which it has..thanks

I convert some avi, wmv and mpeg videos using the 3gp convertor...and they play good in the pc..

But in my cell phone they dont have any sound..


I use this settings:

3GPP+AAC General Setting.

QVGA Normal quality 15fps Stereo or Mono.


any suggestions?

Has anybody been able to have the Vz navigator turn by turn instructions play back through a Bluetooth headset? If so, what settings did you use? Thanks for any help.

If you get that any monthly text package that they have at verizon can you use the IM from AIM or MSM, or do you have to get the $5 a month web package in order to IM?

I just bought this phone today and im amazed of the things it can do but....i cant get anything to work just yet lol...

first off I cant believe Verizon didnt provide to me an USB cable! You have to get separetly or I got screwed?

This is more a Verizon question than an isolated 9800 question. But is there a reason why you can't see a demo or even play a trial version of the many many games you can download to your phone. Its like your gambling in a way because you have to pay for the game and if you don't like the game or its not what you thought it would be your screwed! When i had phones on other carriers they would at least let you see a demo of the game in action before you bought it.

Is anyone having a problem with sending video? I will record a video and when I try to send it, it says "Message is too big. Try again." Anyone getting the same thing? If so, how do I fix it???? It's getting on my nerves!!! 😡
