I was wondering if anyone else also had trouble with the bluetooth on the phone. I can't get anything from other phones or transfer stuff from my phone to a computer. now other phones that have bluetooth and my computer that has a bluetooth adaptor can see my phone, but they can pull up anything from my phone nor can I send them anything or vice versa.

I want to buy this phone but...

I was looking at this phone in the verizon store today, it looks awesome! I have a Motorola v710 right now and I dont like it at all. I have a few questions though, 🙄 does this phone allow you to use it as a modem and connect to the internet through your laptop? My Motorola I have a cord to plug it into my computer and it acts as a modem allowing me to surf the web on my pc. 🙄 Also do all bluetooth handsets work with this? 🙄 Can I copy Mp3's onto an SD card from my PC and listen to them on my phone? 🙄 Can you take videos from your PC (after formatting of course) put them on an SD card and watch them on the phone? 🙄 Does this phone get good service? 🙄 Can you use the speaker phone with the phone closed? Tha...

Is there a fix for the bad 'keyguard'?

As much as I love the 9800, the keyguard is HORRIBLE!

I had a OLD Sprint phone (Kyocera something), and the keyguard was awesome. You had to hit 123 to unlock it. Any interruption would make you start over - ie 1243 wouldn't work - as soon as you hit the 4, you'd have to start over with 123. Basically, any key then hitting OK unlocks the phone. And it's happened a few times already - I'd bump a key, then bump OK.

Any fix for this?

Bluetooth

For some reason my bluetooth doesn't work hardly at all when I put it in my pocket. I have the Blueant headset and it works great as long as I am within 5 feet of my phone with nothing between the two. As soon as i put the phone in my pocket, there is a lot of interference and it looses signal.

Dialup networking clarification

Hi,

I've read the great reviews about this phone and am about to replace my V710 with it. One thing I loved about the V710 was that I could pair it via bluetooth with my iPAQ and surf (albeit at dialup speeds) anywhere I could get a signal. It seems based on other posts that this is possible (with Verizon) with the 9800 as well. Can someone please confirm this? I'd even be willing to use the USB dongle if I had to, but it seems such a shame.

I went to the Verizon store today and they (of course) didn't know. But they did say that there are two different (at least) versions of this phone (software-wise): 02 and 04. They didn't have any 04 in stock at the moment. If this is true, can anyone confirm if the 04 version does or does n...

9800 Shutting down while texting...

Has anyone experienced this? I am on my 4th...yes fourth 9800. Today I received another brand new 9800"M" (V-Cast Music). Much to my dismay, this one has shut down twice today already. Am I crazy? I have asked several others who own the phone and no one has had this problem except one person...I am beginning to think its me. I love this phone but, I can't take it shutting down. I text 99% of the time from outside keyboard. I am an extremely heavy texter'. About 3000 a month. I have thought maybe its becasue I type too fast....maybe too many texts...I keep my in box cleaned out thinking that was it. I would love to hear from anyone that is having this problem. Thank you for your feedback in advance. ☚ī¸

lg 9800 keyboard turns off??

😕 My partner and I both got the 9800 last week and we are both experiencing a problem where sometimes after the keygaurd turns on, when we open it back up our keyboards will not work AT ALL! We have to power cycle everytime this happens and it is very very annoying. When this happens, there is no getting around it, we have tried everything to make sure that this is not suppose to be happening. There is no keyguard on because the screen would say so. The menu will not come up, can't access contacts, can't read texts..nothing. The weird thing it that if you close it, the outside keypad works fine. As soon as you open it up you're stuck until you close it again or power cycle. Has anyone had this problem with this phone? It would be just weir...

the rubber piece on the charging port

So I kind of lost my rubber piece when I took the phone out to charge. Do I really need that? If so, where would I get a new one?
