bitpim and mp3s

this is probably something really obvious and it will show how little i know about computers, but when i'm on the "play list" i'm not sure what i need to do to get my mp3's to show up in the "available songs" window.

i guess there should be a way i can direct the program to look in a specific folder, but i just haven't been able to figure out how.

any info would be appreciated.

Swishing Sound?

I have had my V for over 2 weeks now, and am becoming more and more aware of a strange "swishing" sound coming through the speakers of my phone, (or even through a headset), whenever I start to use my phone. I don't quite know how to describe it, but the sound doesn't happen all the time. If it does, the swishing sound disspears pretty quickly if and when it does happen. It seems that my phone functions perfectly, but I'm kind of annoyed. I just want to know if anyone has noticed this sound with their phones, or should I be concerned?

Thanks.

Text Messages

Is there anyway to store more that 50 text messages? If not that sucks... they should really have thought about that. I save a lot of important messages and after 50... you cannot even preview them without deleting one. Any help or ideas would help.

My MP3 Playlists

Can someone explain to me what a playlist is and how to generate the same. I have converted several cd's to mp3 and copied them to the my mp3s folder on the sd card. So, I have a bunch of songs. How do I separate them into the cd's? Is that what the playlist is for?

Thx

Bluetooth

This is probably a dumb question, but how do you connect your phone to your computer using bluetooth? Do you need a special card you have to buy or what?

Thanks

problem with the movies!

hi guys i just recently bought the 9800, and i read a few of the forums. please let me know if i'm doing anything wrong.
1) i use DVDDecrypter to get the IFO files off the DVD.
2) i then used a 3gp converter to convert from the IFO files to the 3gp format.
3) i put it in my "MYFLIX" folder on my SD and popped it in.
the problem is when i start the file i get nothing but a blank screen. it shows how long the file is for a few seconds, but then it says the file is 0 seconds out of 0 seconds. please help me if i'm doing anything wrong or what i can do to fix my problem.
THANKS!

Is there a way to get the commands prompt when I push the bluetooth button? I'd like to push the button, say call someone and have the phone dial that person.

Verizon confused?

I just went to my local Verizon store to take a look at this phone. I asked about the Verizon Navigator function, and was told that it was not available on this phone yet, if I wanted the feature, I would have to get a Motorola phone. Am I missing something or is someone confused?
