lg 9800 keyboard turns off??
😕 My partner and I both got the 9800 last week and we are both experiencing a problem where sometimes after the keygaurd turns on, when we open it back up our keyboards will not work AT ALL! We have to power cycle everytime this happens and it is very very annoying. When this happens, there is no getting around it, we have tried everything to make sure that this is not suppose to be happening. There is no keyguard on because the screen would say so. Sounds like the phones are probably defective and should be exchanged for new ones.

I just had my phone replaced last night because of that and had an issue already with it doing the same thing this morning. I did read about the leather case for it being a problem and I do have a leather case on it so I am going to take it off and see if it continues. Are you guys using a leather case?

These are the classic symptoms of using a form fitting case that's either too tight or causing an overheating problem or something similar.
Joffery55 -- my bet is if you run a day or two without the case you'll never see it happen -- I ran a similar test over about a week -- in the case it locked up about every hour -- out of the case it NEVER locked up. Case in question is not collecting dust at the bottom of my "expired electronics" junkpile!
Trueth -- you don't say if you have them in cases -- if so try running without a case on one (or both) and see if that doesn't stop the lockups.
