1. Is a software u download to ur pc which connects to ur Cell Phone usin an USB cable and lets u edit settins..add ringtones..pictures..wallpaper etc...

2. Theres 2 different ways..1. Using Bitpim and a USB Cable (from wat ive been told this process is very slow..) 2.Using a Mini SD Card (i got mine at amazon 1GB for 35$) (no need for USB cable with this)

3. I just got my phone so Im not an expert but you can play movies, videos, mp3s if you put them in your SD card....hopefully someone might know more than me 🙂

1. Bitpim is a program that you can download for free, and you use it to put movies and songs on your phone. But you need a usb cable for this method.

2. You can use bitpim to put the stuff on your phone, which in my opinion is a hassle, or you can use a mini sd card reader. But to put songs and movies you need a mini sd card.

3. There are quite a few cool features I don't even know where begin to name them off.

Thanks so much for your help! This information is great!

So it sounds like I don't need to bother with Bitpim at all. If I understand correctly I just need to purchase a mini sd card reader & a mini sd card and that will allow me to put songs & movies on the phone.

Does this reader fit into the USB port?

Do I need a certain program to be able to download the songs and movies?

Also what is the correct format that will allow me to download the songs & movies so that they will transfer to my phone & work correctly?

Once I have the songs downloaded to the LG - V, can I use them as ringtones?

What are so of the other cool features that really stand out?

Thanks again,
I really appreciate your help!

You don't need bitpim. All you need is a mini sd and sd card reader.

It fits in a usb port.

You don't need a program to put stuff on your card.
*****but you do need to put the card in your phone turn your phone off then on again to format your card.****

Songs should be in .mp3 format.http://img417.imageshack.us/my.php?ima ge=untitledmedium7xj.png
Movies, well give me your email and I can help you with that.

No unfortunately you can't use mp3's as ringtones.

Cool features are..
notepad, camera, bluetooth, name card reader, mobile im, txting, get it now stuff, ez tip calc, changable banners, etc.
tons of features.

hey I had ur same problem about the Ringtones..

You WILL need an USB cable and Bitpim to get ur own Ringtones into the LGV.

for everything else use the Mini SD Card.

I got my USB cable at ebay for 4$ im waitin on it to arrive...

It wouldn't let me look at it, but just as long as it's a usb cable for the vx series you should be fine. Also, do not get something that says like rapid fire or an off brand because this also servers as a charger and off-brands don't always stop charging so you can overcharge you battery and it will suck.

Open bitpim, plug usb cable in usb port, plug in phone.

Try different usb port.

I know on my computer a port will work one day and won't the next. But then again my computer sucks so..

Thanks a lot! I have been working on this all day... I have tried that as well... I have now started a new thread out of desperation for some help on this. If you get a chance to take a look at that and have any insight that would be great!

Thanks for all your help!
