Cust. Can i pay it on the 1st?

Me. Well payment arrangments need to go through finnancial services, i can give you the number if you would like..

Ignorance at its best

You know sometimes I wonder where in the world some people get their education. Now I was not a straight A student and only did two years of college, but I have lived in America for the short 22 years of my life, so I know the history of this great nation. I work for Cellular South, and I think I had the validictorian (forgive the spelling, remember I wa/s not a A+ student) for the school of te ignorant call me yesterday. She called and told me she had just signed up for our 39.99 unlimited coverage plan. She wanted to know if it covered just a local area or the entire 52 STATES!!!!! I just lost it over the phone, I busted out laughing so hard I practicly cried. I told the lady "ma'm that plan only covers the local area and if you want to ca...

Cust Serv Reps....Dealers are not stupid

Just thought you should know that. I am sick of calling in for an already heated customer and having the rep get heated at me. I have worked for several wireless stores and I have a little knowledge. So please I beg of you go easy on us and quit taking your problem customers out on us.
Thank you

America is Expanding ? ?

I had the pleasure of talking to this customer last night who was adamantly telling me that he should not have been charged International Long Distance in his statement for calling Saipan, because this is the 53rd US state ? ?

hmmm, the 51st state must be Puerto Rico and 52nd must be Guam. Anyway, I kindly told him that we consider there to be only 50 states and Saipan is not one of them. Well, he freaked out and demanded a supervisor to speak with, telling me that I obviously do not know anything about geography and America. I gave him his supervisor and checked his account later and he sadly did not receive any credit. 😢

Question for my fellow Call Center Reps...

Why is it anytime a customer makes an outrageous demand, and you explain to them that they are bound by terms and conditions they signed to and agreed to, and said terms and conditions are EXPLICITLY violated by their request... you the rep are "rude"

are we stupid???

A cust came in today and said his phone wasn't working. (we replaced one already that wasn't his fault) it was an LG F9100.

He tells us the phone is a piece of junk and tosses it on the counter. (strike one)

I picked up the phone and immediately saw the condensation under the screen. (strike two)

I ask him if the phone got wet, knowing it did. He told me no, he was using it then just stopped working. (strike three)

I pointed out the condensation(which was clearly visible) and told him I couldn't exchange it because it had liquid damage.(he had the phone for 4 days) He started cussing and screaming at me, so me being me (a smart *ss), I asked him if he wanted a bag to carry his box and phone in. He looked at me puzzled. So I ...

'I will just go to Verizon then"...

Do they really think that we care if they cancel?

I mean, sure we are suppose to save customers but I am not gonna bend over backward t save the customers I will talk to them and try to see if I can help them.

Some people just use that if they don't get their way - it is like, "OHHHHHHH, PLEASE DON'T HOW WILL I SLEEP AT NIGHT". People like that need to get their lives together because you've hit rock bottom if you start using that every time you are upset.

'ucking 'itches.

Toilet Phone

So this morning I had three people waiting for me while I was doing an activation. After I was done, the first two wanted prepaid cards. The third said, "I have a problem," as he reached into his pocket. Never a good sign.

He explained how he needs his phone for work to get service calls. That's two bad signs. He's not going to take anything but exactly what he wants for an answer.

Then he tells me he dropped his phone, that's now in his hand, in the toilet. Blech! He said he dried it out for a couple days and it was working but then it started doing "this," as he showed me the display showing "Inster SIM Card." Lovely.

I decide that I should probably do the right thing, albeit the rather disgusting one, by opening up his ph...

CSP

Does anyone else have errors when trying to access links to csp.cingular.net? I always receive a DNS error when following any link under that domain.

Talk about too much information.

Well once again cingular pulled a fast one. Friggin changed our scripts AGAIN. I cant handle it. Not only does it make you verify the address, not 1, not 2, but 3 times throughout the call. and then there is this little gem of knowledge we share with the customer:
(Taxes, of course, apply. The following additional charges might be assessed depending on the jurisdiction in which you live: Cingular’s regulatory cost recovery fee of up to $1.25; state 911 fee of up to $3; Federal Universal Service Fee of up to 3.2%; State Universal Service Fees of up to 6.95%; Gross Receipts Surcharge of up to 11%; TEXAS ONLY: Texas Infrastructure Fund Reimbursement surcharge of 1.25%.) Apparently these scripts are written by people who A) havent ever dealt w...

More than happy

What does that mean? More than happy? If you're more than happy, then you should use a different word to describe such feeling. Elated. Ecstatic. Jubillant.

(I'm sure George Carlin has done something to this effect, but I can't remember.)

Thoughts on my last day!!!!!!!

Okay, so this is my last day working for cingular for the next year as I will be going on maternity leave.... Of course it is the busiest week that ever happened!!!!!! The day people have been working OT, and I got to sit between two of them today. Don't get me wrong, I have absolutely nothing against day ppl, I mean I was one of them for the majority of my career here. Until this day I have always assumed that customers that complain about customer care being extremely rude have simply been customers dissatisfied about one policy or another. I definitely got an education today when I heard the girl sitting beside me ask a customer why he called in since he seems to know everything.... I couldnt believe it!!!!!! Or the girl on the other side...

Re:Bob, the Typical Cingular Customer

all I have to say is I vote for Bob, the Typical Cingular Customer to become the new symbol for cingular. screw jack we dont need him; We need a REAL symbol to capture the typical person who calls in
