ATTWS customer TDMA and sony ericsson T62U

Sorry if I am beating a dead horse here, but I am an att tdma customer with a 29.99/mo regional advantage plan. my contract expires next june, and I intent to suck the life out of this cheap plan for as long as I can. What is going to happen to me?

Also, if I buy a T62U from Ebay will it be able to use the GSM signal even though I'm not paying for it?

Funniest thing you have ever seen a customer do?

Just curious, I was reading the thread 'funniest thing you have said to a customer' and it got me thinking... And coincidently I had a customer walk in about 10 minutes ago, had a dead phone ( was a replacement, and had water damage ) and he had it for one month so went over some options including possibly insurance coverage claim for the phone again, or having a tech look at it ( we are a express store ).. He denied it coming in contact with water. Then he got rather irate and said he was going to verizon, then he started cussing and one thing lead to another and he grabs the phone out of my hands and snaps it in half! 😁 LOL! No joke, it was a 8200 and he snapped the sucker in half. Pieces went everywhere, and he says ' Thats what I think ...

*Smart* People

Have any of you had a customer that had problems with using their phone and called you thinking that since you work for the cell phone company that you know EVERY feature on EVERY phone and how to use it.... I hate it when I tell them to hold on and I will look it up and they get angry cause I don't know the exact setup for the phone they have.....Im not sure if the phone they have is the right or left soft key to select a certain option....and whats worse is when you ask them what type of phone it is and they say the brand name only like "Motorola" or "Nokia" and not the device number...I know its asking a lot but if you just got it you should be able to remember for at least a little while.....Anyone else had problems like this?? 🙄

Annoyances

"Do what?" or "Do wha?" as a response to questions. (I can't stand when people say that.)

"Uh huh." as a response to "Have a nice day." or other closing/courteous line.

Cure for Evil Customers

I have a new idea on how to deal with angry customers.. every time a customer gets angry for no reason... the we randomly break into song.. singing any annoying commercial Jingles from the 60-70 like the oscar mayer or the slinky song... it would either piss them off more or shut them up... 😈 😈 😈

Customers and Deposits

This goes out to all the credit challenged customers.

When I run your credit application to sign up for wireless service, and it comes back with a $1000 deposit.. Don't get mad. Don't walk out of the store saying "thanks alot.. for nothing."

#1 If you got a $1000 deposit.. that means you were approved for other credit related items. Most likely you constantly make late payments, or you straight up don't PAY your bills, or you over-extended your credit limit and dropped your credit score.

#2 Don't act all "Oh wow I can't believe they won't approve me!" You know what happens when I call into credit center to check the app and they tell me you have derogatory credit reported? Yeah you aren't getting a phone unless you pay up front. We ...

As much as I.....

As much as I love this site. I never want to see it again. I just spent 90 mins on a call with a guy who wanted to go over every little phone. Not like I minded but I missed my break and he wanted to know all about bluetooth so I spent alot of time looking stuff up.

totally off topic...

Don't start screaming at me, i really don't care if this should be on a computer forum, I don't have access to it (thanks mister firewall).

I'm building myself a LPPC and I'm probably going to be using a ASUS-deluxe for the motherboard. I know its not the greatest out there, but I'm on a convergys budget, remember. And it's reliable like no other, just a little slower than pentium 4, and I honestly don't care that much. I'm good enough at most games so that I don't need to rely mostly on clock speed.

I just don't know which CPU to choose. To be honest, I don't even know which socket it goes with. Any info...

thanks in advance

Cingular PTT training for sales and customer service

There will be massive training done on PTT with customer service and the sales teams. Cingular is very confident about the Kodiak format and its ability to service consumers and business customers. When PTT is luanched it will be a nationwide consumer and b2b launch which was not the original PTT plan. When Cingular was going to launch PTT in 10/04 it was going to be for B2B customers as a trial. They were concerned about capacity issues due to the fact they were going to do PTT through GPRS. We all know how unstable GPRS can be so that is why they cancelled the original launch. Training will begin in late a August.

I hate CSP

I logged in to find the the July 24th Planogram (since I didn't get this one), and I was amazed to actually find a resource on it. I excitedly clicked the links provided in the article so I could print up my desperately needed resource and then my heart sank. The links didn't work. They couldn't find csp.cingular.net... well, that would be because there IS no csp.cingular.net. The retard who wrote the article put in the wrong domain. I swapped the .net to a .com and the links worked perfectly, but what kind of professional techie would make this mistake? It's happened before, and I'm sure it'll happen again... 👿

Sorry I have too...

Having a bad week, 5 escalations, 3 went through to sups, 2 that stopped at me.

One was for last month of service, customer had not used the phone for 4 months because he stated he was getting no service. Had an argument with a sup who refused to take the call and told me to credit it back to the customer. I didn't like this and spoke to another sup who stated to offer for the unused because $17.00 isn't worth an argument with a sup.

Moral of the story, if it is under $25.00, a sup will not argue about it. Supervisors, folding since 1992.

Other calls were just as dumb and credited back as well. I hate this.

Bob is coming to Shop Talk!

"The Adventures of Bob, the Typical Cingular Customer" is moving from the Cingular forum to Shop Talk. Anyone who's been reading the Cingular forum knows why. If you haven't, then I'm afraid it's too late because Episodes 1 and 2 have been removed.

Episode 3, and all future episodes, will be posted in this forum. I'm also awaiting the debut of Captainplooky's "The Adventures of the Typical Cingular Rep", which I'm sure is in production as we speak.

RSR Theives

Had a customer call in stating that she needed to exchange her phone cuz it was defective and still in the thirty days. I looked on her account and she had bought it at a retail store. Turns out she was AT that retail store while she was calling me. I did a little investigation through the order system and found that she HAD ordered the phone on the 8th. Then she went into the local cor store in her area and asking them to help her activate her phone. This was on the 13th, and the notes on this account only go back to the 13th, which means the store rep deleted the pending activation and remigrated the customer under his own numbers so he could get the commision out of it. I talked to my supervisor, and then asked to speak to the store...
