Since our call center officially became Cingular on January 1 this year, I've only been employed with the company for eight months, and you must be employed for a year to qualify for FMLA under Cingular. When our call center switched, we became new employees and our tenure started all over again. I've checked on it, and get the same answer everytime.
You might want to check that out. FMLA is a program that was set up by the federal government. Cingular might not be able to put those kind of restrictions on it.
If we were still AT&T, I'd be covered.
