Who Cares?!

Not my company. Put out mandatory training, then try everything they possibly can to avoid paying us all o/t. We all put in a 10-12 hour day, and they are trying to pay us for no more than 8. What a crock!

I just love my customers.

Okay, this one is a little different.
I have a high percentage of customers that are over the age of 60, in fact many of them are over the age of 70. They have problems answering and making calls, but we have worked hard with these guys to get them to understand and use the features of the phone. One of the features we kinda skip over until asked about is EasyEdge for downloading things. Most, if not all until lately, could care less which ringtones or wallpapers they have, since they can barely make the phone function as it is. The few that are interested in it just want Boomer Sooner put on it and then that's all they ever do. (yes, we're in Oklahoma) About a month ago, one of my aging customers came in and asked us to help him put ...

Bob Visits the Post Office

A year or so ago, during a blistering hot Indian summer, Bob's grandmother thought it would be nice to send her sweet grandson a sweet cake. She got to baking, and 2 hours later stepped back to admire a chocolate and whipped-cream iced beauty. Now to get this cake to Bob, 4 states away...

********

"I'm telling you, I deserve a credit! I've been a customer for 3 days and I am extremely unsatis---HEY!!! GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY!!" Bob blew his horn and muttered explicits at the squirrel who had dared cross his path. It had been a busy day for Bob; WalMart, Burger King, and Cingular all insisted on hiring incompetent fools. Pulling into his drive, Bob had mentally begun writing the letters he would be sending out regarding local service...

Bob's Trial Period

So Bob got him a cellular phone with Verizon. After two weeks of service he decides he doesn't like it and takes it back to a store near his house (he got the phone at a store in New York while in Vacation, he lives in Colorado.)

The rep at the store initially refuses to do his d@mn job and just return the phone, it's the last day of his d@mn trial after all so he should be able to return to phone to any dealer of the service. (He bought it at a Corp store in New York and he's taking it back to an agent location.) After screaming at every agent in the store, calling customer care to scream at them, and demanding to speak to a manager the Agents finally take the phone back just to shut him up and get him out of the store.

That was De...

Suckered.

So im sitting at my kiosk, when this attractive young woman comes up. She convinces me that she works in the outlet a couple stores down. We talk, she flirts and is really nice.. And of course dumb me... She says thats she is expecting a really important call. so i propose the option that ill just open a razr charger and ill charge her phone for her at the kiosk. The she ways she cant shes only on a ten and the call wont happen till like 10 oclock, meaning the charge wont be enough. So, im not sure how, she convinces me to give her the charger to she can take it to the store she works for an hour or so. She takes it and says she will bring it back in an hour. Its an hour and 45 min. I dont think shes comming back. So i went and checked the s...

Bob: I am very unhappy with the service i recived yesterday. I am a very important business person i have had service here for over 10 year now and i need you to fix my issues now.

Pimp. Uhhh you have only been here once. What's wrong.

Bob. You must not be a very good business person cant keept track of you clients. Any way you girl sally was doing her job then she just ended up dropped my balls fell backwards and ended up white washing the inside of my front windshield. I dont like dropped connections. I feel I should get a full month of service for this. Also i feel you charge way to much for where the equipment is of poor look and quality.

Pimp. You got off nuff said. You keep this i will beat yo punk ass.

The best of the day

I had a young guy(same age as me, 22) in the army come up, he had a 1000 dollar deposit per line for him and his wife, didn't bust out with "man, I protect freedom!" or anything; admitted that his credit was screwed up, listened while I gave him some sound financial advice(my girlfriend and I are both in the process of cleaning up our respective credit scores), then said he'd be back. So nice to have someone take responsibility for themselves for a change.

Had an old woman pitch a fit at me because of our convenience fee on bill payments, said she'd go to the direct store.....and then the sky opened up(it is POURING in Boston right now). Told her I'm sorry I couldn't make her happy at my establishment and to have a nice day across the s...

All Vzw reps please read

I also posted this in the Vzw forum:

Ok I called my local walmart to confirm a couple things
1st The reps ARE NOT paid commission
2nd It is cash and carry they activate the phone but are not able to assist with billing matters or anything else
3rd I used my phone for an example
Samsung a930 Full retail $294.63
New Activation 48.88 includes BT headset and music essentials kit
How are we every going to compete???
For any other reps that have a wal mart near them what are you doing to combat the customers famous statement "but i can buy it cheaper at wal mart"
What are you guys doing or saying to overcome this objection????? Any help or input would be greatly appreciated

I know I'm beating a dead horse here...

...but is it really that hard to understand that phones are expensive pieces of equipment and we give you a price break by signing a contract... people are stupid.

Made me giggle

I just got a phone call and the customer asked about our family plans and I told him that our family plans have free nights and weekend and mobile to mobile. He then asks if the weekends are Saturday and Sunday. I had to pause and then giggle. 🙂

Brilliant Customers

So, just as a little background, I am the Manager of a VZW indirect location. We are located on one of the busiest intersections in my hometown, with Sprint and Cingular acrossed the street. Our building is marked rather clearly that we are a VZW Auth. Agent location.

Just had a customer come in. Very upset because his phone isn't working. I asked him which phone he had, and he then literally threw it at me. Once I picked up the phone and read where it said "Cingular" on the front of it, I informed him that this was a Cingular phone, and that he would need to take it acrossed the street for further assistance. He said "Why, you're the cingular store arent you?" 😳

Okay first of all..... If I was the Cingy store, tell me why m...

Free Ringtones - Soft Drink and Similiar Offers

I was curious as to the inside take on these offers.

I have no use for them, but was curious if they used the numbers or infomration for later marketing purposes.

Also, do the wireless companies pay for advertising with these offers? Seems like they could stand to profit if people download stuff without data packages.

Anything else?

New Cell Service

I've decided to start my own MVNO. It will operate off everyone's networks (cdma, gsm, and tdma). It will cater to whining annoying a$$holes, moody self-obsorbed poser goth teenagers and bratty children.

It will be called EMObile

I'm Sorry You Feel That Way

I'm Sorry You Feel That Way.

Probably the best phrase that I have come across working in both cellphone customer care and in sales. It absolutely whips angry customers into a frothing rage, and there's not a damn thing they can do about it.

(Note: Only use the phrase when the customer is being a total jerk, and you are A) Either not going to get the sale anyway or B) Are so fed up you don't want this person's money even if they do buy)

Example: I had one guy call in demanding that I price match Best Buy. He said that he couldn't buy there because "Their computers were down." Yeah right. He probably just had a large deposit.

Finally after explaining that not only could I not match Best Buy, but I couldn't even SEE their promotions...

this genius

activated a line with the free phone 2 weeks ago
last week he comes in and exchanges the free phone for an lg 8300 paying the diff
today he wants to do another exchange for the razr v3m
now normally i wouldn't care what phone he gets but my company keeps loosing money on the cost of the first two phones because there's nothing wrong with them (we only get credited back for defects) now we'll take in a total of $500 from the phone and what vzw pays us and we're out $600 in phone costs because this idiot thinks that having a razr will make him cool

I don't come to where you work and throw rocks while your mowing

I get so pissed when customers try to give me the inside scoop on wireless. So far today I've learned that Sprint merged with Cingular not Nextel. And then from a separate slightly less retarded customer that some how, in the great state of Florida, Nextel IDEN phones can use CDMA towers and when I respond with "thats impossible" they roll there eyes and laugh at me.

F*ckin' retards
