first time... pretty awesome

So, just had a lady come in with her motorola v325 saying she was having problems with it. Every time she plugged it in it was telling her it was unable to charge.

I plugged it in and found the same so I took the back off the phone...

There was an LG 3300 battery in the phone...

I love mondays.

What makes this story even better is that she told me that she was having the same problem with her other battery and thats why she switched batteries and when she put the lg battery in it started to work again...

Wow. I don't think she's getting enough oxygen.

Some guy.....

Just came in and gave us a phone to put in our "donation" bin. It's an LG vx3200. Good shape! Here's the thing. It has a retractable antenna on it. Not like your avg retractable cell phone antenna either. He put the equivelant of a walkman antenna. Extends up about 3". It is by far the funniest rendetion of someone thinking that it was going to increase their signal! Yet, I wonder how his walkman is doing with the stubby LG antenna on it? 🤣

more things I hate

I know this gets beaten to death, but it still gets me going.

1. Don't lie. The phone has obvious water exposure and the clip and case show me that it was caught on something and THAT caused it to break. No. It doesn't matter if it was you or your brother or your kid. The manufacturer is NOT at fault. Move on jerk.

2. "Well it didn't work anyhow" is NOT an excuse to not pay your bill. Go away and get a clue. It doesn't surprise me at all that your credit is shatty and your kids are all morons. Move on moron.

Pick one, Leave one: Shop Talk Edition

So, this is a little game we play on the comic message boards. It's actually quite entertaining. Rules are simple, Pick One, Leave one, and post another ultimatum.

Customer walks in and is irrate with her service and wants you to cancel them which makes you have to get onto customer service

OR

You spend 2 hours with a customer going over everything they need in order to activate service only for them to have a deposit which makes it impossible for them to activate.

Which situation would you choose on any given day?

This is my H E Double Hockysticks!

Why?! Why?!?!?!?!?!?! Why fix what wasn't broken!?!

My company launched a new POS system today. Seems like everytime I click something it pops up a different error. Had to come in 2 hours early to get it all up and running prior to opening, I'm tired.. I'm ready for a good stiff drink.. and a nice long alcohol induced nap.....

It's National Customer Service Appreciation Week... I sure don't feel appreciated this week.. One of my former employees, and best friend, told me that her new employer has given her fruit baskets, flowers, cards, and paid lunch all week for her appreciation...how depressing! I want a new job 😢

you never told me that....

okay before I even slap you across the face... am i the only one who finds it physically impossible to disclose all rules and procedures of your service and subtle nuances of a return policy or how a plan works to a new or existing customer... sorry there's too much to disclose, verbally and if you did they'd be scared $hitless over using it...

iPhone Lawsuit

Today, I was browsing through one of my favorite websites, Engadget.com, when I saw an article about someone suing Apple, AT&T and Steve God...I mean Jobs. A Ms. Dongmei Li filed suit against the unholy trio claiming price discrimination, underselling, discrimination in rebates, deceptive actions and sacrificing a virgin to the Woz. (That last one is unsubstantiated.)

Her suit is broken over several issues. First and foremost, the September 5th iPhone price drop. Apparently, Ms. Lee is upset that she waited in line on launch day and paid a whole $200 more than she would've had to only two months later. Not only that, but she was "forced" to get a 4GB model because the Apple Store was sold out of the 8GB. I predicted this would happen as s...

Me: Thats a connection card for your laptop, it gives you internet access. That flip out "charger" is the what you plug into the USB port in the laptop.

Her: Oh.....(her friend walks away laughing)

I Hate You!

VZ customer comes in my store. They had just purchased 2 new lines of service down at Walmart (If you dont know where this is going by now, you're new here). Walmart told them that they needed to come to us to do their text messaging, because they didn't have the "feature" available on their systems. The "Feature" they needed, was actually the Select Plan. Not a simple feature add on... Took some very slow talk and using small words to explain that it is a different plan, and not just a stand alone feature.

I'm so irritated. Walmart, I hate you! You sit back, don't care, sell those phones, mess up their bills, can't even give them what they need to have on their plans, and send them to us. Why should we always have to clean up y...

Switching companies

Well, after being MIA for a little while, I'm back, working for a different carrier.

So my question is; for those of you who switched before, how was it like? Did you regret your decision? Did you try to bring some good things from your old company to the new one? How was the experience in general?

I have to say that so far, my experience has been pretty good. I can't complain since so much stuff is exactly the same. makes my job that much easier. I still find myself refering to my old company a lot though (hope I'm not too annoying with it) but I guess it'll pass after a while.

Treat Phone Like Garbage = It Will Work Like Garbage

I have noticed that people expect WAY too much out of a phone.

Construction workers that throw it around, get it full of junk and then freak out when it doesn't work...and feel that saying "i work outside" validates the misuse.

People that get the phone moisture damaged and then ask you "well how did that happen!?" 😕

People that assume a warranty covers everything. Whether their dog chewed on it or they dropped it in a toilet.

People that expect a phone to last more than 2 years and will do anything to not have to sign a contract to get a phone.

People that buy the absolute cheapest phone and then complain that it doesn't pick up on the moon and won't mow their lawn.

People that don't back up their files... 😢

Pe...

Falun Dafa/Gong Organ Harvesting

So I just asked this lady what a button she had on meant and she went on to explain the mass scale organ harvesting from live bodies of people your are slaves in work camp. She explained how th only reason she escaped was because she was sick and they could not use her organs and her husband works for an American company to she could immigrate here. Pretty depressing stuff. I can't check out the websites about it www.fofg.org and www.falundafa.com
