sprint ESN hotline
so, I wanna purchase an a920 for my wife, through a new act. that I did from Sprint to VZ 😎 and I wanna make SURE prior to buying it that the ESN won't be hotlined.
The customers did not port their numbers in, but did cancel their Sprint account. The local sprint store I called informed me that there was no way that the ESN could be hotlined if the customer initiated the cancellation of the service, even if the final bill was not paid up after the fact.
I don't wanna drop $$ on this phone if I would be screwed by doing so. it's for my wife, and she would love the capabilities of that phone; I just want to be SURE that the phone will not be turned off in a ...

A$$hole call center reps
1. They will grant access to the account to anyone but the account holder. They especially like to process upgrades and feature changes for people who are not authorized users but the actual account holder cant eve ask qestions about their bill.
2. They tell customers that the corporate retail stores can do things like - test batteries - troubleshoot PDA phones - install phone software - fix broken phones.
3. Dont like to give dealers crdit for sales, plan migrations, and other shi+ we get paid for and they dont even work on commission.
Not all call center reps are shi+ it just seems like the ones I deal with are.

Customer: How dare you? I talked to your manager on Saturday. He said that you will give me a RAZR2 for free. (Points to the poster we have of the RAZR2 which does not say it is free).
Me: Really? Well, I didn't see HER here. That's weird since I was here by myself ALL DAY.
Customer: I know who I talked to. You just trying to make me pay for the phone.
Me: 1) It is $300 with a 2 year contract everywhere. NO ONE IS GOING TO SELL IT FOR FREE!

AT&T Cor and Agent Opinions
Customer went into agent AT&T store, wanted to do an upgrade but wasnt eligible. They sold her a black V3 at full retail. Customer was given a receipt that CLEARLY stated a 7 day return policy.
After customer left agent, called customer service and found out she was eligible for early upgrade at COR store. Was instructed to go back to agent store and return phone. Went there, and rep would not return the equipement stating that they have a NO RETURN policy on equipment that was purchased at Full retail. However, her receipt CLEARLY states "Return within 7 days for full refund."

Your customer is legally dead.
Order comes in and the computer is having trouble running credit.
First problem.
He's miss-spelled his last name (it was just a double letter so nothing big.)
But because of this I have to call our credit dept to get the class.
They say "Your customer was listed as dead on the 9th of December, 2002." They also say that he's showing multiple birth-dates.
So I go back to the customer. Oh, I used my dad's social, yeah he's dead.
Why the hell would you do that?

I had a store rep call into care to dispute the customers internet charges. customer was on a media pkg (that included 1 MB) and used waaaaaaay over his usage - by 25 MB+! but he calls me to see about crediting the account. I tell him after going through the notes and contract that the feature was added at time of activation (sept 2006) and has not been changed or asked to be removed. and to top it off - you were the agent that activated the line/account and added the feature.
