So I just had an old guy in here asking how to get his messages(on a side note, why do old people always call voicemail their messages and act like you're speaking martian when you tell them its called voicemail.) So I showed him how to hold the number key down till it started dialing. He does it and puts the phone up to his ear after five seconds. The message was from his daughter and somewhere between holding the number one key down and puting the phone to his ear he forgot that he was calling his "messages" and tried talking to her. Oh man, I can't wait till today is over!

Anyone know what carriers are around this area? AT&T's website shows partner coverage but I was looking for something without roaming. Any help is appreciated.

So. Theres a shopping center near my indirect verizon location with a west coast video, an acme (grocery store), and a walmart... few other small stores as well.

Walmart is eating the entire shopping center.

They bought out west coast video's location and closed them down. A few of the smaller stores banded togeter and are getting walmart to build them a small strip mall across the street. Those are the ones that can apparently afford to close for a month or two while thier new stores are built.

Walmart is planning on putting a supercenter in... and they're buying everything. But in between them and the acme they bought... is a verizon corporate store that I hear about constantly for fscking people over. I've fixed so many of t...

I work for an agent and only 2 ppl work at the location I am in. My co-worker was recently made a semi manager and has let it go to their head. They are constantly coming in late and taking extended lunch breaks however I am expected to clock them out after they have been gone for around 30 min or so. The few times I have ran late on lumnch break I will let them know and they usually clock me in without me asking. I think this is their way of hoping I will not report them. Recently I found out that they are stealing from the drawer. I have no way to prove this however they have asked me if I would like to split it. Which I turned down. Also my manager is a pot head and smokes just about every day. Sometimes before work or even on his lunch ...

I haven't posted in a very long time on here or the lounge, because of laziness. lol

anyway... I'm gonna be leaving my sales job at my at&t retail store because I'm moving from New York to Connecticut. My fiance's brother works for selectron in CT , and I'm thinking of sending in my resume.


My question(s) are "anyone work for selectron?"
"hows their pay?" "is it a good place to work?"

He just started about a month ago, and I'm looking for some feedback from people months in or even years for that matter...

I can't stay. I need something more flexable, so I am going to make pretzels in the mall. I like the manager, and the people there are cool. Plus I won't feel like a traitor going to some other phone company. I am going to stay on PHone Scoop (I am still addicted to phones), but no more complaining about customers. I AM FREE!

Over here at the call center taking calls and being bored...Opinion: What do you think about the customers that call in and don't think that they have to pay a ductibable and think they can get away with it or get it waved..??? 🤨

It's been slower than molasses in here! So far, the bigest excitment of my day has been a mystery shopper.

customers talk with eachother about how sucky we are.

Had a guy come in with a blank display on his 8550 new blue chocolate. He got it 5 days ago. So no damage, not even a scratch, so... I grab a new one and start to swap it out.

Well while I'm doing all this the other technician next to me is with another guy who has the original razr. Beat all up, liquid damage, the whole "everything we arent supposed to cover" well this guy hears me giving the other guy a brand new phone and gets all mad when the other tech says SOL and full retail.

I'm thinking thank god I got the cool customer. Then all of a sudden my customer goes to me and is like "aw just do it for the guy. Give him a brand new one" ahhhh no way!! I told both of them the war...

I work for lost/stolen and insurnace support so basically i restrict the incoming and outgoing calls to the direct connect and VOICE MAIL...and Monthly reaccuring charges stay the same..However the customer still gets off by saying and i quote.
" 🤨 WILL THAT RESTRICT MY VOICE MAIL BECAUSE I NEED TO GET MY MESSAGES"?
well daugh what did i just say its to the voice mail to stupid.....any thing similar to that yall have to share with us...?

I just had a guy call in(had a hillbilly twang). Said his son's Sidekick 2 was not holding a charge. I asked if he tried a different charger and he said no he just wants to get the phone replaced. I told him that it was doubtful that his phone was still in warranty, seeing as its over 2 1/2 years old. Also with the sidekick 2 it has a built in battery so you can't buy just a new battery. I told him that it would probably just be better to buy a new sidekick than pay to repair an out dated one. He then tells me that he know what I'm trying to do. 👀 He says that Tmobile is trying to screw the little man out of his hard earned money and how its bad customer service to not carry batteries for his phone. Customer starts yelling at me that he has been transferd 10 times(and i look in memeos and only see once) that no one has helped him to activate him phone...the caring person that I use to be yelled back at him that its not my fault you got transfer so "many" times and i can't even help you that i have to get sprint on the line...did i do the right thing or no...I think i did because it made me feel better....
