Customer care, you need to have some basic grammar tests...

She wasn't terrible, this customer care agent, but there are some phrases that when ANYBODY says them I want to start punching people.

"Her phone won't cut back on now."

That's pretty high on he list.

Pretty much common knowledge

So Mail in Rebates... you have to cut off the UPC code... pretty much common right?

This woman got her new phone and it was missing the MIR paperwork. Ok, whatever, we can direct you to the web site or we can send you a new one, it takes all of three minutes to do either (well a couple days after we set it up to mail one but still.) Then she finally calls to get that and they tell her you need the UPC off the box to get the MIR... which was, as far as I knew, pretty much a given... I've know that since I was like 12 (my dad used to pay me two dollars to fill out his MIRs for him, then he'd get $50 back and we'd both be happy... well not totally, it was a chore which explains why I refuse to mess with them now.) Well can ya guess? She t...

that phone can do what???

i just found out that the palms(treos) are a lot cooler than i thought...if you are a realtor or are familiar with a lockbox key, then you will know what i am talking about...you can actually set the palm up and use it as a lockbox key...if you don't know what that is, if you ever see a big gray box hanging on the door of a house thats for sale, the key is inside the box to get in the house, this enables any realtor to enter the house if it is vacant if they need to show it, with out calling the listing agent to come show it for you, the realtor key is issued to that specific realtor and has a special code they have to enter if they want to get in...just thought i would throw that out there

Q&A For Cell One to AT&T Transition - Part 4 (LONG)

Recently, a letter was either mailed to or made available online to Cell One COR stores, agents and dealers. It answered a few questions about the pending AT&T take over. Some of the questions were answered with something like "AT&T will let you know as the time nears." I know there have been many questions about AT&T's purchase of Dobson Communications and Cell One. I currently work in an authorized dealership. Having worked for Cingular/AT&T for a year and a half, I have the advantage of seeing the aftermath of the AT&T Wireless to Cingular transition and being there for the Cingular to AT&T name change. I am going to give a few answers to some questions I have heard on forums or from customers. Some of the questions may sound stupid, but ...

Today is starting off wonderfully

Yeah, I bought my Blackjack through your store. You're the store on Main st, right? Well I still have all my paperwork and it has a one year warranty on it right? I wanna know what that covers because I lost my phone. Oh, so if it'd been damaged but not lost the warranty would've covered it? It only covers defects? What kind of warranty is that?

Blackberry Launch Party

I must highly recommend that if you get a chance to go to the launch party that you go. Rim knows how to have a good time as soon as you walk through the door you are greeted with great food and drinks as well as great atmoshpere. I went to the one in Atlanta and i work in the Nashville market well worth the drive.

I Am Beginning To Hate Payments (RANT)

I used to work in customer care before I moved out of state and now I work in an authorized dealer store. Most of our business is payments. Really, I have no issue with payments, but rather the some of the customers. We are a payment location, NOT a payment drop off. I have at least four or five people a day come in and drop off payments. If I am busy, I don't normally care. I understand that they might not have 5 or 10 minutes to wait in line, but most people do this when I have no other customers in the store. It takes me a minute and a half maximum to pull up their account, post the payment and write a receipt, but some people seem to always be in a rush.

Last week, Cell One changed our payment system. We used to be able to look up ac...
